Warriors past and present are tatted up to go into battle. That's what we do. We get memorabilia ink and motivational ink that plays apart on what we took off the battlefield. They tell a story to whom ever has the ink. We are a sheepdog to protect the sheeple.

As an E-6 still serving in the Marine Corps with full sleeves, I would love to be able to become a drill instructor. I've been infantry my whole career, tattoos have never effected my ability to fire a weapon or lead Marines. This policy needs to end.

Marines should be allowed to get tattoos under the original policy. Tattoos aren't bad and are expected on Marines. It's sad that we defend the Constitution yet we don't have the basic rights granted in it. There are morons who use the Constitution to do the stupidest things imaginable (freedom of speech/expression to stop or burn on our flag) yet the defenders can't get something to express themselves or a way to show they're proud of their status as Marines.

Marines should not be discriminated against because of tattoos. Tattoos are a timeless tradition of the US Armed Forces. Other branches have retracted their tight policies on tattoos. The US Naval Forces, to include the Marine Corps, should follow suit. Thank you, Josh

This is the most asinine policy the Corps has ever instilled. The idea is to be the most respected, disciplined and feared fighting force on the planet. This policy takes great Marines with combat skills needed to train future fighting men how to not only survive on the battlefield but how to win and tells them to "kick rocks". It's truly a sad commentary of the corps current leadership.

It is time we get rid of the tattoo policy and just allow those with tattoos to enlist/reenlist and go into any career field. This discrimination needs to end.
