Prior service Marine that tried to join the Marine Reserves but was turned down due to having to many tattoos. I spent 8 years on active duty, and currently work in the field as my MOS, tried to go back in but was turned down due to too much ink. Thanks for treating your fellow Marines with so much respect.

As a Marine for the past 8 years who also happens to have a "sleeve" tattoo, I will say that the most recent MARADMIN has influenced my decision to leave the Marine Corps. I have always followed the rules and orders governed by the Corps and the UCMJ and yet due to the blatent discrimination of this MARADMIN my goal to become a Chief Warrant Officer is crushed. I am a decorated Marine who has served in combat and has a vast knowledge of my MOS but I will pursue a career outside of the Corps largely in part to this new rule. It must be changed for the future of the Corps, but it is sadly too late for me.
