As long as the tattoos are covered with the uniform, who cares. These brave men & women are serving our country, let them have their tattoos.REPORT COMMENTS

Do we, or do we not, live in a free country? Why would/should government care what is inked on a person's skin when they are fighting to give the freedoms/rights that we all have....I would hope that a person's skin color, whatever they choose would not be discriminated against.REPORT COMMENTS

As a tax payer, voter, and one who is greatful to these men and women who serve all of us and protect our freedoms, I am appalled that these good people are being treated this way. What do tatoos have to do with the quality of one's service?REPORT COMMENTS

It bewilders me that the Marine Corps would wait until tattoos are more mainstream in society than ever before, to take such an interest in limiting the amount of tattoos that we, Marines, can get, in the name of public relations.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a wife of a former marine. Tattooes should not be censored, everyone in he military community have them. You should not judge those who have them regardless of time in service. These men and women have the right to put whatever on their body as long as it is documented. I do agree none on the face or anything of the sort, but to deny them promotion or anything of that nature is pure ignorance of anyone who is involved in making such a decision. I would rather have someone who has tattooes than not to be honest with you. You are judging those who have tattooes based off of them and not by their character as a person or leader. We need to understand that if you swear off all tattooes you will lose a lot of great people who have fought and died for their country. We are striving for success and not for people who do not have tattooes. People need to honestly grow up and look at the state of this economy and really look long and hard as to why people do not have jobs, it is because we have people in charge who judge others based off of looks not what they are capable of. Look beyond the tattooes and realize these men and women do the job they signed up for and the tattooes are just a bonus to their character.REPORT COMMENTS

I would like the tattoo policy gone, if you want to be a cop or something, you can have the opition to wear long sleeves. , becuase there is only so much room under pt gear to tattoo. I just think there is really no point in the tattoo policyREPORT COMMENTS
