Those who have earned this benefit should receive it in full. Why penalized people for their hard work.Sep 13th, 2016Someone from Chantilly, VA writes:

I have worked over 20 years in Social Security contributing jobs, and now because I eventually will get a local government pension, my Social Security benefits that was mandatory I paid into will be reduced??? that is so unfair to me. I could have paid those deductions into an IRA or 401K instead of being forced to pay SS if I knew in the future I would lose most of the benefit. I just can't see how this is fair. Please please please repeal these unfair penalties!!!REPORT COMMENTS

It is unfair to reduce benefits for those who have earned them and at the same time funnel funds to persons who have entered Our Country and are not even eligible to work.REPORT COMMENTS

I retired from government service under CSRS (25 years) and FERS (3 years). After retirement from USG I have accumulated more than 20 years as a contractor and paying into Social Security. I feel it is unfair to penalize me when I have worked in the private sector and paid into social security probably more than most people with non-government service.REPORT COMMENTS

I worked over 30 years in the private sector and paid into social security, and to make ends meet and pay for my daughter's college education I worked at the public library as a custodian, not a sit down job, and paid into a public pension, why should I lose what I worked and paid into? I am also a Vietnam veteran!REPORT COMMENTS
