I totally support DOD Officers being brought up to standards as other Federal "Law Enforcement Officers". I have given 20 years to protecting and serving personnel from the President down to the lowest E-1 and civilian employee. We have the same crimes as our civilian counterparts respond too but we have, at least in our Department, one other barrier. Because local city/county commissioners can persuade the highest Uniformed Military Official, our jurisdictions are transformed and we end up being embarassed because we have to call the nearest "Local" jurisdiction to take over our actions even though we are capable of handling the case. Besides a waste of taxpayers money, criminals end up staying on the street. Please support this bill.REPORT COMMENTS
