I so agree. Jeff from IL - I couldn't have said it better. It would make me feel so much better knowing that my husband has the same rights - not only to arrest, but also the protections that come with being designated as law enforcement officers vice DOD police officers. 100% support.REPORT COMMENTS

I have been a police officer for Great Lakes Naval Station for 10 yrs. We patrol, enforce, and protect all that is there in. Just like local jurisdictions do. We put on the line everyday. But no we are told upper management sets policies that prohibit use in carry out our jobs as effective police. Local jurisdictions has to come by and they have a complainant they take the subject into custody...instead of our department who did all the work...HR324 could seal the gap that is needed to fix and strengthen the statutory powers of arrest within.REPORT COMMENTS
