I believe that lifers who were arrested when they were very young need to be on the top of the list for consideration for release, due to the fact the young men & women whose brains are not full developed at the time of there crime have had a chance to mature. These people need a second chance, don't just lock the door and throw away the key. Have mercy on these inmates and there families.

I believe that people can change! No one is the same each year let alone a decade in prison. We pay for rehabilitation of inmates! If prison can't show just that; why continue to pay? We all have did something in our pass and learn not to do that again. We pay and place programs and dr to work with inmates and we should allow there insight to reflect on each individual and if they believe a person is rehabilitated they should have a secound chance! Hope can make a person work to be better! Good behavior is an action that can be a tool. Secound chance for life for all that has worked hard to change, and complied with all set programs,

Lifers should be given a date so that becomes an incentive to complete all the required pre-req for getting released. Leaving inmates in limbo spirling down a black hole into no where is not encouraging. If you give them a date, it makes them a better inmate and more prone to be a model prisoner.!

We are all human, we all make mistakes. Everyone should be entitled to a second chance at life. It's awful to think if those who are not given a chance because as adolescents/ young adults they were at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Lifers are not the problem, the CDCR is the problem. Give our Lifers a chance to be productive members of society. They are the ones who have the smallest (less that 1%) chance of recidivism and studies have shown that they don't commit murder or any violent crimes.
