I think that people deserve a second chance at life, especially if they have been incarcerated for certain amount of time. How will they rehabilitate if not given a chance. Some people are falsely accused and or with the wrong person or crowd and not being able to explain themselves properly. Let theirvoices be heard. A murder gets out before a dope deales, burglar and anyone else, so why not give the rest of them a chance to prove themselves. #Second chance at life #Jan 31st, 2016Someone from Macon, GA writes:

In Ohio, less than 3% of prisoners eligible for parole are granted parole. The Parole Board takes it upon themselves to determine a longer sentence than the original judge for the nature of the crime. This happens even when the prisoner has participated in numerous programs and rehabilitation.REPORT COMMENTS

Everyone deserves a second chance. The only time I feel another man or woman should get life is if they took another's persons life, even then under some circumstances it should be taken Into consideration , that a person can be regretful and show remorse should be forgiven for their sins.REPORT COMMENTS

It's really looking like there is no difference between Life with the possibility of parole and Life without the possibility of parole. There are so many who have served their time, attended their classes and programs, educated themselves, and are model prisoners, but yet they're still behind bars... no releases date. It's just not right.REPORT COMMENTS

They deserve to have a second chance life. Being locked up for twenty years plus is too much of a punishment. What are they gonna do when they are release at 45years old and better? Their parents might have passed away and have no support to help them into society. Please offer them a chance to make it right.REPORT COMMENTS

My brother was incarcerated in 1985. He was 20 years old. Got involved with the wrong people, started using using drugs and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Because he didn't want to be a rat he ended up with two life sentences. He is now 51 years old. He works, has met all the requirements and then some. Over the years even a few prison guards have complimented my mother on what a nice young man he is. They've even said "he don't belong in here." He is not a naive 20 year old boy anymore. All he wants is to be with his family. After 30 years I think it's about time he comes home.REPORT COMMENTS
