The only way to be properly treated for pain is to find a Dr. that lives in pain themselves.

My husband and I live with chronic back, upper, lower, and legs and feet everyday. Our doctor told us she has to take our meds down. It is mandatory. I have tried to find it and can't find anything. We are on about half the meds we were on since the first of the year.

The DEA has no business telling doctors how to treat their patients. The DEA has no idea what I go through every day, what it's like to be in pain every minute of every day for the last 10 years.

Stop limiting the amount of pain medication pharmacies are allowed to have. Stop the discrimination against pain patients! Unless you live a miserable life in constant pain, you have no idea the harm you are doing to innocent people in this country by attacking their rights. Now some patients might be forced to use illegal means to lessen their pain. Not good!

The DEA and Federal and State Governments have went too far penalizing legitimate pain patients because of the few "doctor shopping" patients and drug addicts. Every person has a right to live pain free, or as pain free as possible. To deprive people from having the medications and care that they need is as abusive as a person who raises dogs for fighting. Michael Vick was crucified for putting animals through unnecessary pain, but out Law Enforcement, Government, and yes, some medical professionals, do the very same. And in my book its worse, because we are HUMANS, NOT DOGS!! Until the Government and society see's us as people suffering needlessly, it is going to become a major epidemic. People are already being forced to go to local drug dealers for illicit drugs just to get relief. This is what the DEA wants, because they know it will keep their agency in business. Isnt it strange how many deaths, diseases, and despair alcohol causes, yet no one wants to touch it or limit it? Well, that's because the majority of DEA and Government aren't going to poop in their own playground. Isnt it funny how the farther we go along in society, we seem to be progressing back to the dark ages???

I suffer from severe chronic pancreatitis, which on a daily basis is very painful! We don't have many doctors that treat our pain and treat us like a normal human being, don't take away what little hope for a normal life we have!!!

I live with chronic pain every day. I do mall events to make a little extra money. It takes me over a week to "recover" from an event. My Mom will come and help me and sees the pain I have. She says to me all the time "With all the pain meds out there nobody should EVER have to be in the pain you are in. Dr's should be ashamed of themselves when they treat patients like that." My Dr says pain medication can wreck your life. He "allows" me very few. I have an anxiety attack when I need them refilled. Sometimes he makes me wait a week with nothing. God help them if they are ever in our shoes.

I am fighting two chronic diseases and I am in severe pain daily. Those of us in pain are constantly judged and scrutenized. Living in chronic pain is no way to have to live, even with the pain meds many of us are still in constant pain. Untreatd pain leads to depression and suicide. I nor any other diagnosed person should EVER have to suffer because of the DEA's profiling. It is inhumane to let people suffer in chronic pain. Stop this madness of letting the patient suffer needlessly!

Chronic pain everyday is physically and mentally exhausting. The drug store judgements are one thing but Drs who won't treat is inhumane. Even my dog lives on tramadol so she can finish he life out comfortably.(bad tendons and arthritis). Its unfair to judge everyone as one large group. We are not the same nor is our pain. Pain everyday is an awful way to live. We are not drug addicts Im never pain free the meds just tone it down. Where is quality of life? We suffer for every action of trying to be normal. Walking a flight of stairs, cleaning, standing to long to try to cook. Its about time chronic pain gets the recognition as any other health issue.

This is my life of chronic pain and I'm tired of being treated like I'm less than human because I need narcotics for pain.

I'm a chronic pain sufferer. For years I've had chronic pancreatitis among other things associated with it; such as diabetes. ( insulin dependent) cardiac problems etc. Anyway many time I have been treated like scum in the gutter by judgemental medical professionals because of it. I say shame on you! I am a nurse ( no longer working) and not once did I ever judge someone who was practically begging for relief. I guess because I know where they're coming from. Yes there are those drug .seeking few, however there are more of us!

Those of us that suffer horrible pain due to chronic illness, need relief and pain control. It's between me and my doctor. Not treating real pain is abuse of your patient. Uncontrolled pain leads to depression, and sucide

I can't function with all the pain I am in everyday. Without my pain meds I would have no quality of life. I couldn't clean, cook, shower or even enjoy my grandkids. Walk in my shoes for just one day and you would agree and not be so cruel as to condemn me and so very many others to no life at all.
