It's frustrating to not to have permanent residency waiting for these back logs to be cleared for over a decade now. We pay taxes, social security and contribute to the overall U.S. economy and government is still not interested in helping us? The immigration system needs to be on a merit basis and not based on per country visa cap which is stupid and does not work in 21st century.Mar 9th, 2015Someone from Columbia, SC signed.

Our future is unknown and dependent on visas inspite of an approved immigrant petition! Give us the freedom to contribute to the American economy and freedom to grow in our career.REPORT COMMENTS

It is high time legal immigrants get some relief - a fair system- is necessary to keep the American Dream alive. Let hope we see someone taking leadership in Congress and resolve the immigration challenges once for all and for everyone. -YogiREPORT COMMENTS

Please make it flexible for I140 approved individuals to move jobs, buy houses and take care of their kids better (parents can be together and don't have to live separately because of visa issues). This way we will be happy, our families will be happy and we will contribute more and better to the country. Give us EAD.REPORT COMMENTS

I have done my Masters in STEM related major in this country, its been six year since I am in USA, according to current backlog, I could be green card holder in next 10 years. That is 16 years being in this country to get Green Card and to get citizenship - it will take 2 more years after that, that is effectively 18 years being in this country to get citizenship. Now consider the same scenario for anyone who did Masters in STEM related field from Canada, one could get PR (equivalent to GC) in 3.5 years.REPORT COMMENTS

Can't change job, can't buy a house, can't have a stable life after all hard work of getting educated with high credentials, gaining knowledge and contributing for the success of US corporations, still personally stay at the same status as started 10+ years ago. It's one way traffic, you reap benefits but don't distribute it to the people who contribute it which I believe fundamental injustice to humanity. Some folks accuse (rightly understand the pain of loosing a job to a better skilled worker) , taunt and tease that we don't understand what you speak. It's not English that we do speak as better as anybody but what cannot be understood is the way it is expressed because of cultural differences. In a conglomerate and evolving society like US, it's always a matter of accepting and moving on than wasting energy and effort on high skilled migration. More US middle class lost jobs due to manufacturing to China. Can somebody innovate and improve to make local manufacturing viable again or allow us to do that by giving stability to our lives? That is the root cause, please address that and high skilled migrants whether from Europe, APAC or else where who always helped US to stand out in the world.REPORT COMMENTS

Dear All, I 140 - EAD will ease out from the long tem investment barriers, facing by the employment based intended immigrants. This improves immigrants economy, in turn help USA's economy and better family life. Most EB immigrants has US born Child(ren) who will be raised in a healthy environment, and grows as a good citizens. Instead child looking for parents always in wavering mindset, not close to the family, less economical freedom .... My Humble request is, please let i140 (who are anyways going to get EAD in few years) approved to get EAD which reduces the wait time. - NandaREPORT COMMENTS
