This petition is ridiculous. I am sure the person got the GC/EAD easy way during 2007/2008 where they can buy labor petitions and applied when the dates are current. What about people who come to US to pursue Masters get job in US based company wait for 5 years to get their green card processing start and wait in the line, where as some fake resume guys applying through some consultancies without proper procedure followed during labor process get the GC/EAD. The whole immigration process favors the brave who can find a loophole and take risk exploiting it, similar to border infiltration. Please understand that we have been staying in this country for more than 2 years, admire this country and people here, and want some kind of stability. We cannot think of a situation where you have to sell your house and leaving stuff here every night, we need some stability. The rule should be genuine, like approved I140 and been in US for more than 6 or 8 years legitimately. And the whole priority date concept should be abolished, it should be the date of landing and the number of years you are here so that its like first come first serve thing to avoid any employer exploitation. -

Visas like L1 are another form of slavery. U are tied to one employee and your company exploits you like anything. Hike, promotion and all other privileges are taken from you. This slave shackle need to be broken. American society is all about reaking the shackle of inequality. This EAD rule will do that. Don't stop that. If some employer file for EB there is a reason for that. They are not illegal immigrant. They are highly skilled resource. Play with them and you will burn the economy. Go ahead and take this petition out.REPORT COMMENTS

How long do you think is fair to wait for immigration, I have been here , working , paying taxes waiting for 10 years, have 2 kids born here how are US citizens and still have been told by lawyers to wait for another 10 years, because I am from India while people in similar situations form any other country can get a Green card in 1 year. I am not sure when this rule is being opposed, the people with I 140 approved have secure jobs, all they are asking for is independence to work, so they can progress their careers. They are not going anywhere, they are not leaving their jobs but are in this limbo.REPORT COMMENTS

This is a ridiculous petition, why these companies were forgot to list out all these contexts to congress/government so far. Its only recognized whenever they are about to lose their prospects being an employer to screw the employees, those who are in working/waiting list for EAD's after their 1-140 approval. So these employers would need control over these employees to work for them about 10-12 years without any options left for their career opportunities.REPORT COMMENTS

I don't understand the issue with the person who has created this petition because the EAD is issued for a candidate already on a work visa . I think the person might have a consulting company and is grabbing a big chunk of amount into his account from the H1B holders and does not want to lose the golden duck . As far as the US government is concerned they will not have any issues with this petition approved as this will make the people who are eligible to work in USA.REPORT COMMENTS

I work for Wells Fargo in NC on work visa for 12 years having filed on EB3; PD 03/23/2009. My husband is handicapped; I've a son who's going to graduation in NC. We're from Panaji, Goa. This article seems to be manipulated and negative to local economy. EADs for I140 will: 1. Employ competitive resources (technically better ones) 2. Reduce shipping jobs to offshores, near-shores and retain them in-shore locations 3. Bring out bank balances as investments (housing, education, small businesses, shopping, etc) due to Confidence Index of Residency 4. Stabilize US societal and cultural plurality 5. Increased white money as various State and Federal taxes 6. Reduce Foreign Transfers and encourage to spend locally. 8. Open up gates for Leisure & Entertainment activities. The people who have I140 approved are already Internationalized, Americanized, Naturalized (technically), and Trained North-American workers (a bunch of talent pools) will only help the country build highly agile technologies such as Clouds, Big Data, Social Media, Artificial Intelligence. US Education System can generate graduates to fulfill these areas, however the demand is huge for US Education System to supply all. That's when the locally, trained International Workers (from foreign countries) who are agile, have already similar experience will fit the bill T. United we stand together as a nation; divided we fall to market competition. The ball is at The POTUS' court.REPORT COMMENTS

The posters seems to be scared of competition among the talents.I agree with that many misuse happens. But due to misuse of certain rule, we can not set aside the positive of a rule making process. In the end, clients are smart enough and should make necessary arrangements to prevent fake resumes to get selected. That should not be a criteria to prevent a positive rule making process to happen in future.REPORT COMMENTS

This is not 100% true. It's like if you're held outside the gate for longer than required from entering a building, and there is only one door, and it's raining cats and dogs outside, you don't have protection from rain you have infants, kids, women...what will you do. I140 situation is similar. Granting EAD to I140 approved will ONLY benefit US economies 360*. These are tax payers, qualified, and contributors and not illegal, not social threats. More investment in housing, businesses, and education will be added. That creates 100s of jobs in other industries. Only gain and no.loss. I swear on hod.REPORT COMMENTS

I dont agree with this..There are many housewives sitting waiting to work with EAD which is true, but that doesn't mean deny EAD to all whose I140 is approved. I have 8 years of experience in IT industry and is currently on H1B. When my I140 gets approved why should I suffer just because of some one who will fake the experience? So better companies take the initiative to select only valid experienced people and must do skype or face to face itnerview. Another thing is to get the reference from previous companies through trustworthy parties. Above all make an agreement and get it signed by the candidate if anything found wrong, they will be seriously punished. Try to understand experienced people wont be ready to work in less wages in IT. But I heard many people where their sposes got GC or EAD are ready to work in very less wages..Companies should stop hiring them and that way they dont need to suffer. Companies are suffering just because they are hiring 0 experienced and less qualified people for less wages.REPORT COMMENTS

EAD to al I140 approved is a humanitarian necessity. The middle vendors and the companies do not allow the people to have vertical growth in career, just because they are stuck up with a I140 for too long. Also, the stress to continuously maintain status in a dynamic environment is unnerving. People with grown up kids, who are stuck up in the queue for more than 10-15 years, fear that the kid will again have to start the F1 or H1 process, just to continue staying in the USA. If I140 EAD and portability is allowed, the fake resume club will reduce substantially, as people will be free to do what they want(open up business/ change careers etc), rather than search only for IT jobs for them and their spouses.REPORT COMMENTS

Everything said in this petition is so true and everyone knows this. no secret. Anybody denying this fact would be nothing by lying. On the other hand, there are so many genuine people who are qualified to work and add value to the economy are deprived justice by not able to work. The only way is all employer to make every effort to ensure the resume matches the candidate real experience /skills. My Opinion: The employer who hires non-competitive candidates(fake resume) are at bigger fault than the fake candidate itself.REPORT COMMENTS

I heard that usa is country of immigrants. Their is very few population that is native n rest all immigrants turning citizens .it is such a great country who accept other countrymen with open heart. Well how fair it is to exploit people on h1b when they are equally compitable. So much pressure from employers . They simply becomes the puppet. Well as regard misuse is concern , i am confused how the spouse can misuse the ead.. when a company grants job to someone they also do necessary verification.. educational degree , professional degree, relieving letter from previous employer etc takes the interview. So plz pass this law n save poor h1b people from exploitation n besides also make other law that those who misuse the ead by way of spouse etc for strict punishment. N one more thing to avoid misuse you can procedd with some written exam from that particular steam for spousesof h1b people. Eg if they are applying for some job they will need to clear some exams . N if they dnt know anything about that field they will surely fail the exam or u can start with some degree courses 1year, two year here and those who will fail the exam or not score good will be dropped off . Plz be kind and give opportunity to h1b to live a hassle free quality life who have been exploited since long time. Sorry if anything u felt wrong . Thank you usa for giving the people from diffrent part of world a great platform to enrich their skills . I respect you all from bottom of my heart.REPORT COMMENTS
