This should be an easy decision to make. The effects of Narcolepsy can be very severe even when on correct medication.REPORT COMMENTS

A close friend of mine has borne the yoke of narcolepsy ever since I have known him. I see first hand that he is functional for only a small percentage of the day. I realize that the social security administration has some very difficult decisions when deciding how tax dollars should be spent. But this should be one of their easier decisions.REPORT COMMENTS

This is so necessary, too many people are suffering and struggling unnecessarily. It is bad enough to try to live with these conditions, but when they lose their ability to work they suffer in poverty too. Many times they can't even afford medication fir treatment.REPORT COMMENTS

I've been suffering Narcolepsy with Cataplexy for over a decade this condition is incredibly debilitating and affects my day to day functions preventing me to live a normal life. This illness is very misunderstood by society and even by a great deal of physicians. Throughout the years I've seen absolutely no improvement in my condition and struggle just to get by on a daily basis. This Neurological disorder should be considered for SSI benefits just as any other Neurological condition.REPORT COMMENTS
