Also a victim of the "system" in WA state. Our daughter was forced to undergo a painful and unnecessary medical procedure. No one would listen to our side, look at the research we had compiled, for the 3 days preceding the deadline we were stonewalled by CPS and our doctor to ensure we could not present our case. i have discovered this agency can present any statement they want to a dependency judge about relatives of a child in dependency and not only not have to investigate their allegations, it is not required that anyone provide evidence of the allegation and most of all, being "not a party to the case" the relatives have no opportunity to face their accusers, provide evidence to the contrary or have any say what so ever in their own defense. this seems to me to go against our right to confront our accusers in american court system. resulting in relative children being adopted out to strangers and completely cut off from all blood relatives until they become of age to find us on their own. they have gone as far as to quote non existing police reports and the judge does not even know they don't exist. who investigates what the caseworker, and in our case the caseworker's supervisor presents in court? so far no one. yes this whole system may be too big and too broken to fix. but a start would be an outside agency to look at records of complaints. it seems the ombudsman office in olympia is only interested in cases where children have suffered death or harm in foster care. they compile statistics to present justification for federal funds by showing reduction in these numbers. but there is no where to turn for investigation into the facts of so many cases where the caseworkers are obviously making grave errors. in our case the children were placed in a home where the caretaker was founded for negligence and left there for 14 more months. and not once has cps even so much as visited one paternal relatives home to see if any relatives are able to take care of these children.REPORT COMMENTS

Eleven days ago, friends of mine in Bellingham had 5-week-old nursing twins and their one-year-old brother taken into custody on the pretense of being unfit parents because they performed the birth of the twins without medical assistance. The parents followed all ther requirements of DSHS and Doctors declared the babies healthy. They were well taken care of and all three children were thriving. CPS has acted with impunity in this case with no accountability or transparency. There is no rationale for keeping the family fragmented. This is an outrage and must stop.REPORT COMMENTS

I've just learned of a tragic case here in Bellingham, WA, where infant twins and their one-year-old brother were taken from the home of conscious, loving parents after a successful home birth without an attending doctor; now they don't know where their children are being held. After reading through many of the petition signers' stories, I'm appalled that this type of sanctioned "kidnapping" is allowed, leaving in it's wake heartbroken parents and traumatized children. It appears financial incentive may be a factor. CPS needs to be accountable and transparent!REPORT COMMENTS

I am a 65 year old grandmother of 5 and 17 grandchildren, I have read the complaints regarding DSHS, and I personally, have seen the corruption with family members as well as my friends in other States, been affected, their families are torn apart and broken. The DSHS, it appears that they think like they are "Gods" who have the power, to make their own rules, regardless of what the laws, the judges say...they make rules that meets their outcome of what ever the case is. DSHS is corrupt, and someone, who is in charge needs to re-evaluate, and clean house. It's effecting many families and their life. My family and I are victims of a DSHS. Criminals in their workings DSHS ripped my heart out as they helped destroy my relationship with my out of control teenage daughter. With out even doing an investigation I experienced Years of abuse at the hands of DSHS. I along with my Attorney had won my case and it was dismissed and thrown out. Even though the case was dismissed and throw out and DSHS safety plans ordered to be changed by a judge, DSHS records are still to this day false and they have chosen not to listen to the judge nor the facts and have still not changed their records to reflect the true facts. I cannot tell you or even explain the damage that DSHS has caused me and my family and they do it all in the name of the "welfare of the child". Their criminal like organization, bias and unfair criminal practices must be stopped or there are going to be thousands if not millions of families destroyed by the hands of DSHS who are supposed to by their own oaths to "reunite families" but instead they destroy them. I've had front row seats so I know what they are doing. They are doing this Through the dependency courts, they are destroying families even as I write this statement. I could tell you each court hearing I went to and meeting and have notes and all things of what they did. I am so upset this kind of organization exists in America. Are leaders of this country need to stop DSHS from doing this. Please listen and understand , this can happen to your family, brother, sister, neice, nephew, cousin ect....Please investigate Bremerton washington's DSHS along with Seattle Washingtons DSHS are really bad and corrupted from my own eyes and ears. All the judges, gals and point attorneys all work together with DSHS and its so unfair for the families and the poor who cannot afford a good attorney. Please help.. Thank you for your time. the system has allowed common a-like individuals, who work at our local DSHS/CPS/DLR office , manage case sensitive files. Fact; people who i've been town acquaintances with for 25+ years are free to open and manage information about me.Fact; a make- up "dummy file" ,as it literally quotes from the case noted reports i obtained without their knowledge. All of false beliefs, false allegations and crazy story about their investigation. A true file full of reports and assessments would find that all allegations made against me were made by cps caseworkers themselves or third party information. It would mention when they were caught by a judge lying about my dirty ua's being clean. That i have no criminal history or drug convictions. that that did not provide me services timely.that i complied with all their requirements. Thus giving them the ball by insinuating that i have problems. i.e.;drug eval ,mental health eval. and leaving a good job just so i can be eligible for the grants to execute these unjustifiable services. Clearly indicating LOVE for them!!!!I've maintained a job for years. had reliable housing for a consistant time until it was removed coldheartedly because my child was removed finially after 3 bogus dependencies had been surprisenly filed in one year .each one eventually dismissing without due process. I feel ashamed and misunderstood,worthless and unlovable. I can't get help anywhere. I know i have very little time to protect both my children's rights which have been unforgivably taken. Please, please give me the resources to present my strong evidence of corruption and irreversible negligence and demises.REPORT COMMENTS

I have witnessed firsthand undeniable bias and manipulation by CPS. Thousands of dollars spent unnecessarily. The literal ripping apart of mother and child for weak and nonsensical reasons. The power this organization is truly frighting! Their attitudes of self-righteousness and contempt for the public hides itself behind their own "rules and procedures". They can literally do what ever they choose and this power is exhibited in the attitudes and actions of the social workers and their supervisors. They are out of control and have become smug in their power. LET ME REPEAT...CPS is out of control and their social workers and supervisors have become smug in their power...and we, the public, have no power to fight them. The complacent and familiar associations that exists between judges, state attorney general lawyers and the DSHS social and Casa workers, and the unlimited money they have...obliterates any chance the average American has to defeat their immoral, in many cases, criminal undertakings. I have personally watched as they cherry-picked information and completely discounted uncontested criminal behavior to get the exact outcome they wanted from the beginning. Kitsap county cps has took my grandchildren from my without a warrant or order and are trying to adopt them to a couple who can't properly take care of them. Something needs to be done. There is so many words that flood my mind when I think of my case and all the unrepairable damages that has been done to my family as a result of becoming involved with Spokane County CSP! As far as I know our case is the oldest on going case in Spokane WA and I am tired. After 8 yrs and my son still having the same issues that supposedly got removed form the home for, I say enough is enough. I would like to request that our case be gone thru with a fine tooth comb, to see all the lies the injustices and all the wrong doing that was done onto our family. I know that we are not the only family that has suffered at the hands of this corrupt system, but I'd like to do all I can to uncover the corruption so NO OTHER FAMILY will have to go thru what mine has endured for the last 8yrs... We are now at the tail end of our case, and my 14yr old after being raised 4yrs in an at risk youth home is finally at home with his dad, but he is still struggling, and he just wants the state and all the workers to leave him alone and let him close this long nightmarish past and put that part of his life behind him. 8 yrs is far too long....REPORT COMMENTS
