I am horrified that the very agencies maintained to protect children and families, are in fact corrupt themselves. It's disgusting that this family has had to endure such a tragic and heart wrenching situation because the government doesn't in fact govern these agencies. The numbers are appalling. We moved to the Bellingham area because it was ahead of the masses in community support of natural care of children. This case is outrageous in every way imaginable. Steroids are certainly not the way to go to heal eczema, I know from my own experience. Steroid usage in such a young baby could have serious long term negative health effects. This mother did everything right and it is this family's right to raise their children in a natural way. A full investigation into the Child Protective Services in Whatcom county needs to be launched. Taking children away from a healthy home is nothing less than kidnapping, these babies need to be back with their parents where they can heal from the horrors this needless separation inflicted on the whole family.REPORT COMMENTS

This breaks my heart. My daughter had eczema and her doctor discouraged use of steroids unless all other treatments hadn't worked. I'm an acupuncturist and herbalist and they are always supportive of my decisions. Someone has to STOP THIS! There have also been some allegations in a county in my state of COS baby trafficking. Taking healthy babies from their moms for ridiculous made up reasons and giving them or basically selling them to other families. Method addicted mothers and securely abusive fathers can have chance after chance, but a mother can't choose a home birth and natural remedies? Ridiculous.REPORT COMMENTS

She was EBF them and now they have been completely cut off, that is absolutely not good for those babies---they are probably absolutely lost and miserable without her! I am greatly saddened and disturbed by this outrageous action taken by the CPS of Bellingham, WA. As a resident of WA I chose many alternatives in raising my children. Not the least was homeschooling all four of them with any aid from the government. They still received my tax dollars but not my children.!!! We need to fight back to oppression and to the governments workers thinking that they know better than the parents. A full investigation needs to be made into this situation and the people then need to be informed on what lead up to this incident and how it was handled. For the people and by the people!!!! My prayers go out to this family for whatever their need is. Justice must be handed down to the guilty parties whomever they are. TRUTH!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

As a resident of Washington state, this is incredibly appalling to me! It is our rite as women, mother's, parents, and families... To choose the lifestyle and holistic approach to health if we see fit to do so. These cistern were not in medical danger, and are now being harmed by the government establishment more so, by being traumatically removed from their mother's care and love, as well as their primary food source. Switching an infant from exclusively breast fed, to nutritionally unequal formula, cold turkey; is detrimental to the infants intestinal health. Return these babies to their family. Share information and details on your investigation. Do so immediately, or you will see more families up in arms about this, then you ever thought possible!REPORT COMMENTS

I was once a ward of the state, when I was a teenager (I'm 36 now). I know how the system can and will sometimes try to be. I was placed in numerous places, but two in particular have left a bad taste in my mouth...even to this day.
