Please don't cancel H4EAD ..many talented spouse left their country just to be with their spouses and finally they got to be a bit Independent and got a chance work with H4 EAD. The persons who are working in H4 EAD are contributing to American society instead of creating burdens. most of them are talented, highly skilled and experienced. You agreed to permit green card/citizen. Let us work till the broken immigration system is reformed. We are not a burden on social security or medicare. I have been waiting for the last 3 years to start to work with the EAD. I am an IIT graduate from India and don't consider myself to sit and rust. These 3 years has already cost a lot in terms of my career, my mental state and relationships. Removing the EAD makes everything go in vain. Please be empathetic in your decisions. It is very easy to destroy people's life with one decision but a lot of effort to build one.. Putting a check on the fraud H1Bs should be the focus and not EAD.REPORT COMMENTS

Im an analyst working in one of the leading companies in the Bay area. It has be a dream to work hard in a country with different culture and talents around like America and therefore I made sure that gain it by going to the university here and get the job of my dream. I have contributed my share to the growth of the economy by working on hiding world class products, I have paid my tax on time, I contribute to American charities. I had a chance to do all this just because of the h4-ead rule. I strongly believe that there is not real reason to rescind this rule. Either clear our GC backlogs, or let us work. We cannot wait for another 15 years to start our career. We are law abiding, tax paying people, who don't depend on welfare. We came here to live our life, not to have our basic rights snatched. It's very unfair to not let just a class of people work. We are not a bunch of uneducated, poorly qualified people. If we were, I'm sure employers wouldn't be hiring us in the first place. We know your language, we have been here for at least 6 years, and have acclimated to the way of life here, and we love it . Please don't revoke the H4 EAD. We have children that were born here, some of our friends have kids with special needs, we cannot live on one income. Our kids consider USA to be their home. Please don’t show discrimination on legal immigrants. We are equally qualified and have career orientation. Waiting in Greencard backlog might give us Ead after 30 or 40 years so practically can we work at age 70 instead of now ???? Few may question you are not needed for our country.. why only our high skilled spouses are worth living in this land of opportunities and not we !!!. We lived here for over a decade with complete honesty paying all the taxes and spending every bit of time and efficiency for the economic growth of US.. I on H4 EAD working since one year , got my job with fair selection with 4 rounds of interview.I am not sure how can I steal an American Job.I follow proper selection process among other applicants and i did well in interview and got the job. Now is it fair to take away my job for the reason that i am in waiting list of people who wants to become citizen of this great country.We want to be part of this growing economy ,we are contributing our bit to the nation.America is the land of opportunities why it is unfair with us. I am now between jobs, beinh interviewed for higher roles.... Removing the H4 EAD will mean I cannot work anymore and cannot be financially independent and cannot pay my house loans... I have a PhD from a to US university and did my post doc from Stanford. My research is pertinent to California’s water management and I am under H4-EAD. We are all contributing positively towards US economy. The need for H4-EAD came up because of the problems in US immigration system. Until that is corrected, H4-EAD is a much needed measure giving the basic right to work for people with approved green card petition. There is no basis in rescinding the rule now, especially when it has passed through the legal rule making process. This is for people who are one step away from becoming permanent residents!REPORT COMMENTS

We have made investments, commitments based on this rule. It impacts kids who are your future voters. H4EAD already has restrictions unlike other visa. Why target this?
