H4 EAD dependents are very well qualified, went to schools in US, and in turn are contributing to the growth of the country’s economy. Their children who have spent their whole lives here are unable to work because we wait in long never ending queue for green card. Don’t take away and shatter their dream.REPORT COMMENTS

Please don’t cancel H4 EAD. I am holding a 4 years old bachelors degree in Computer Science, started working again on H4 EAD after waiting for years. There are thousands like me who are genuine, have STEM degree, not faking any experience and resuming career again from zero. We knew that we are safe here because this is the largest democracy in the world and this breaks my heart to see so much hatred ... we get H4 EAD after processing certain steps towards GC ... so we are the future citizens so please treat us like that ... please please please don’t cancel H4 EADREPORT COMMENTS

Respected congressmen, Please do not take away h4ead work permits of spouses of those waiting in line for employment based greencard for years. The news this week that the DHS plans to take away this work permit is very heart breaking. I am doing my medical residency in Anesthesia in a leading hospital in New York City, only possible because of h4ead work permit. For many years, prior to 2015, when this rule did not exist, because we had filed for greencard, I could not get into a residency program as spouses of people waiting endlessly were denied work permits. These were miserable times for me. I was foreign medical graduate, and a department topper in post graduate study in Anesthesia in India. In America I had hoped to do a residency and fellowship to learn from the best physicians in this great country. So, in 2015, when I heard that women like me would be able to get a work permit I was thrilled. It brought new hope in my life. Soon I was admitted into a residency program. My dreams were finally coming true. Please don't take this work permit away. My life depends on it. Please dont force me to quit midway and send me back into the dipressed life, I was living cooking and cleaning at home despite being a doctor. Please help me chase my dream and allow me to live my life with dignity and respect, doing what I love to do most - serving my patients with love and care.REPORT COMMENTS

H4 EAD has helped spouses to earn the rights to contribute for the country. We want to continue doing that.. It is highly unfair for all the spouses in H4 while all other visas and other countries support spouses. Imagine how difficult it will be when someone revokes your work authorisation in the country you live. Its a basic need and right of the spouses.REPORT COMMENTS

The proposal to revoke H4 EADs denies us the basic right to fend for ourselves and forces qualified and skilled individuals, to live off of our spouses like parasites. This is denying a person a basic right! The absurdity with the whole proposal is that you're denying this right to those law-abiding individuals who have actually qualified your immigration process to attain permanent residency in your country, and are only one final step away from getting there. The perplexity increases considering that a small fraction of the law-abiding immigrants contributing to your economy are getting intellectually, emotionally, and financially tortured when there are so many other issues that needs the government's attention, numerous other factions that get to work the day they step in to this country. This causes not just financial issues in the family but other emotional issues like worthlessness and depression - because if not all, most of us are highly educated individuals with great skills which cannot be used for anything based on your rules! Not even to work remotely for organizations outside the US. Why are spouses of your lawful skilled immigrants being targeted? Please let us earn for ourselves!REPORT COMMENTS

The H4 ead let's skilled spouses contribute towards the society through hardwork a dedication. My wife is currently an h4 ead worker who has made such contributions to the company that she is working. She is highly talented and dedicated. By working and earning she is contributing by paying taxes and social security. There are many individuals like her who have spend all their life through schools and colleges earning their degree, hoping to work someday and be part of the society supporting their families. Why this unfairness with H4 EADs. Other than H4 holders everybody have work permit to work in USA. We also equal contributor in America’s growth in all ways. We are getting jobs after proper interview selection process. It looks like this is complete politicle game for Trump gov to gain votes. As promised , lets first reform better immegration system and grant Green Cards for all those immigratans who are waiting for half oh their life. This EAD is some kind of blessing to those people. My wife cannot get H1B as we have to be very very lucky to get through the lottery system. How else can my wife work in this country? Mr. Obama has given an opportunity for the H1B spouses to work.
