The President says he wants consumers to be aware so he's made changes to credit cards and lending. So as a consumer I took out a loan for $7500 with the irs and I was aware I would have to repay it, however what I was not aware of is that in a couple of months after I bought my house you would change the loan to more money and no repayment option. Now Mr. President Obama who is not informing the consumers. Thank you for being fair and please eliminate the repayment

This clearly isn't fair. I closed on my home at the end of October, 2008. I easily could have waited 2 more months to close had I known that I could have received more money and not have to pay it back at all.

Hello, this is not fair for people in 2008 year. What is the difference for people in 2009. I feel those people are rewarded. Does this seem fair? I dont think so. Thank You.

Has any US reps talked about removing this unfair payback? I would have waited if I had known.

7500 vs 8000 why didn't you wait because I would have waited the extra 3-4 weeks to get the 8000 and not have to pay it back. I feel I helped jump start the economy and others that didn't are being rewarded. Does this seem fair?

I would have waited the extra few weeks. This is unfair, either we all pay it back, or we all don't have to pay it back. I feel discriminated against because this information was not made available about the $8,000 not having to be paid back. Please I'm just asking that this credit regardless of the amount is treated fairly. Sincerely Shawn E Baty

Had I known - I would have waited, like most people who signed. And where would we be then?

I am grateful to Uncle Sam for allowing me the $7500 repayable "credit". It would be that much more helpful if I didn't have to repay it. Knowing that others who bought after December 2008 are getting the better tax credit package doesn't change how grateful I am, but does make me envious, especially since I was close to getting the second credit.

I do not believe this IS FAIR, i would have closed on my home purchase later if I knew waiting 2 months would have changed my tax credit!
