Parental Alienation is a pervasive form of Child Abuse. Loving and fit parents who have lost their children to this abuse demand Court reform! Parental Alienation is NOT a custody issue, it is a child PROTECTION issue and should be prosecuted in criminal courts as sexual and physical abuse are, because the psychological damage it causes in children is the same! I have dealt with parental alienation in regards to not only my own son, but my husband has been kept from 3 of his own children. All of our children are victims and all from their parents doings. I have lived through this horrible crime--not recognized in California (~circa 2004-5). My 14 year old daughter went on vacation with a relative (not parent) who launched immediately into a full-scale attack using parental alienation techniques. Her secondary/back-up strategy involved bribes and threats. All abusive. My daughter was never returned and our relationship will never be fully repaired it seems. This was devastating to our whole family and should never have been allowed through any legal channel.REPORT COMMENTS

Child Alienation should be a crime! It is the most severe form of Child Abuse and should be added into into USA law. This subject fits into California Penal Code 11165.3. My Ex has gotten away with lying to the courts and IS using the system wrongly to keep our child away from me. Child Alienation is a serious subject and needs to be taken SERIOUSLY! Until you experience it yourself, it is the true definition of intentional hurt not only to the affected parents but worst it hurts the children involved due to it takes away their own God given choice to Love and be Unconditionally Loved by usually the better parent which unfortunately is the one to which the alienation is victimized by its affects.
