It is like bonded job for long term. Employers take advantage of the situation.

This is particularly important for families with only one person has H1B.

I strongly support this I140 EAD petition. It will be much easier to change the job without worrying about H1B expiration date. It's not fair for legal immigrant to worry about their visa status once they are laid off. I-140 EAD will be huge relief for all I-140 holders. I approve I-140 EAD.

I support EAD for approved I-140 mainly because it will enable all my fellow overqualified people to break out from Slavery to their current employers and contribute greatly to US economy by undertaking highly skill jobs matching to their experience and profile. Thank you.

I support EAD for all i140 approved people, it will make great impact in their life.It will make easy for people to switch jobs, start their own business, travel to home countries without going for visa stampings. We know the backlogs are worst we have people waiting for green cards for past 15 years. Now days average employer takes 4-5 years to start green card processing then the person waits another 10 years (based on existing pd) by the time he will get GC or EAD15 years of his life would be gone waiting GC. We should also keep in mind all the people who are waiting have degrees in STEM ( bachelor's Master's, Ph.d) they are legall immigrants , they are paying taxes(Medicare,SSN, state, federal) , they can contribute much more by opening business, creating jobs, opening technology companies if they will get at least opportunity (EAD). I have friends waiting for past 10 to 12 years for their green cards, they have spent almost 2 decade of their life in U.S but still waiting for green cards/ead( certainty in the life) .
