I was diagnosed with piriformus syndrome which my sciatic nerve is going through the piriformus muscle, along with depression, and hearing loss. I filed for disability and because of being behind on child support they suspended my license so I can't get to my doctor appointments. The child support system is worse than slavery!REPORT COMMENTS

Both of My Sons are 25 yrs Old and I still have to pay arrears, I mailed in a money order which they claim they never received, As soon as I received the notice I payed it and now I am forced to pay an additional $200 plus DMV fees to restore my license, It's extrortion. My Ex-Wife hid my kids from me, As I looked for them, I have not seen my twin boys since they were 4yrs. to find out they were Emancipated at 16 yrs old So the Child support enforcement, Rewards here for hiding my kids from me. Enough!!! This is maddening and needs to stop immediately! My disabled girlfriend made $7,000 last year and the year before, and nothing the year before that. She's way below the poverty line and receives food stamps. Her ex husband makes over $40,000 a year. The state is ordering her to pay over $750 a month or they're going to take her driver's license and business license. Obviously she can't afford this. A few years ago, she scraped together some child support money, the child's father used it TO GO ON A CRUISE and bragged about it to her! There is zero accountability, they don't even have to spend it on the kids!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Taking away a person abilities to feed them selfs by hunting and fishing is a god given right. Why should any court have the right to do this. Taking a drivers license away could be a potential problem. If say the person has a emergency and lives in a rule area. I think licence suspensions should be banned for back child support if you are working I drive truck for a living and I'm behind on my rears but I pay the court ordered Amount every week payroll deduction right out my check and they still suspend my license. And then I get pulled over or go through a weight station and a dot inspection and they tell me my license is suspended for child support when I have physical proof I pay it so they towed truck and trailer I get arrested and fired I don't think its right for child support to suspend license as long as your work and can pay .REPORT COMMENTS

I am a hard working man who takes care of my responsibilities. Im in the construction trades and do not always have work to stay current on my support obligation, but i do always pay it when the funds are available. I have lost and re-gained my license numerous times and I am currently without a valid license now. This makes the commute to and from work very difficult and makes no sense. Seriously, I think the government is only about making money off hard working citizens. I think this is illegal and should be fixed! No Car Means, I can't get a job to pay their greedy behinds. First of all, they add arrears so you have more to pay instead of paying for that child. Then they cancel your license so you can't get a good job to take care of them. It as if they are not really truly trying to help the kids. More like to line their own pockets. Take the main thing from a guy or gal that wants to cover their children future. Stealing money from a person is not fixing the child support issue. Arrears doesn't send a check to the child's well-being. You are called a deadbeat if you do not pay but it's ok to take away a person main way to get to work so you can pay. This is only for the fathers that can't afford to go see their kids that's in another state. Separating families since 1900's is all that the government has done. Government suppose to help not help make worse. Anyways, considering that millions of fathers are going through this crap. You would think people would ban together even the mothers to stop this madness and greed. Makes no sense, I guess people rather be mad and call the fathers [or the person that doesn't have the child] a deadbeat. Instead of making sure that the children have a father that can get back and forth to them at wind. For all the fathers and mothers that do not have their children present that can't drive to see them or get a job that is a far from their home. This needs to change! The government shouldn't have the right to destroy families period. Find another way to get payment, not one that is there so the people that want to take care of their kids can't!!!!!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

That is the most craziest thing I have ever seen take a persons drivers license because of child support but they can't pay if they can't drive to work and if they do go ahead and drive and get caught then it's jail time so how is that gonna benefit a child. She wont even let me see my kids which im sure is illegal. I just want to pay my debts and make sure my kids are ok but this is all a game to her.
