There are over 800,000 H1 Visas in Our Countty.. they talk about a cap of 85,000 a year.. but aren'nt counting the H1 Visas here already ... these jobs should be given to American S.T.E.M college students.. S.T.E.M. U.S. salaries have gone down showing a surplus of American S.T.E.M. workers not a shortage..

I complained about this program several years ago when I lived in California. Although some restrictions on the H1-B workers may have improved, the system is still designed to replace homegrown/experienced technology workers with imported/less expensive labor.

This outsourcing is happening far too often... helping another country's economy at the sake of hurting our own U.S. economy.

Either Congress failed to protect the American workers with failed policies or they are taking kick backs under the guise of campaign contributions. We need to understand who in Congress are receiving the campaign contributions related to H1 Visas and the amount of the contributions. Then we should ask the Attorney General and the Department of Justice to investigate these members. Economics prove there is a surplus of S.T.E.M. workers in Our Country ...ADDITIONALLY, AMERICANS ARE THE ONES HAVING TO TRAIN FOREIGNERS.. THAT SHOULD TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT AMERICANS LACKING SO CALLED SKILLS... WE DESERVE FULL DISCLOSURE OF ALL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS SINCE THIS IS OUR LIVES YOU DECIDED ARE NOT AS IMPORTANT AS FOREIGNERS!!!!!

Companies where the CEO and board members are Engineers or other STEM don't seem to be doing this. It's companies where the CEO and board come from non-STEM fields that make this supposed cost-cutting measure seem like a good idea. No offense to the Asian Engineers. They are first rate and would probably agree that countries should hire within before going outside.

We will no longer have a middle class if things like this should be allowed. Maybe Congress needs to live by the same rules as the hard working American's do. Please do something about Health care too. We can't even afford to go to the doctor anymore and pay outrageous out of pocket deductibles and high cost for our premiums. We can't ahead. A few years ago, I was interviewed to work on a project at a bank in Pittsburgh. There was 1 job opening in Pittsburgh and 275 jobs outsourced to India. I was interviewed by an Indian and didn't get the job. I am an American with a masters degree in the computer field and am writing this so that other Americans can be informed of the magnitude of this problem. EEO is the law in the U.S.

What happened to the Disney workers and others is a sin and a shame. The 1% is taking down America, piece by piece. It is all going to end badly.

For every job that gets outsourced, Congress should get a 5% reduction in pay, health care and pension benefits.

It's not just tech work. Misuse of these visa workers in the service industry here in Florida is tantamount to economic trafficking as well as cutting Americans out of the workforce. Third party employers recruit "students" to work at reports and hotels across the Florida panhandle at reduced wages and have those wages held by these "employment agents" for overpriced housing and apparel. These people are here with no legal recourse against these unscrupulous agents. Meanwhile, American citizens aren't hired for these critical service jobs and remain on social welfare when they could be working and earning fair wages. Shame on all who propogate this system in the name of economic development.

Most companies like Disney have tuition benefits for their workers. Why don't they train Americans and let them benefit from the company educational benefits to earn a degree if they don't already have one?

Forgot to mention something... they call this progress... we get to watch a few get rich and pat each other on the backs... as they build the latest technologies in a different country.. they have no idea where American finl or customer data is or what foreigner is supporting it or looking at it.. they train foreigners on the latest technologies and throw Americans who built and fought for this country and who pay taxes out if their chairs with their H1 Visa program because foreigners are cheaper... OMG!! Lets Vote on a bill to replace Congress with foreigners so they hire Americans...

Kathleen .. goto the protectusworkers website.. This is national origin descrimination.. yes, it is abuse... and Congress put this H1 Visa program in place .. and they want more H1 Visas because Bill Gates gives them large campaign contributions and he wants a bigger boat.. so the people whose job is to protect all Americans only really like a few.. They ,with big business, are also paying for propaganda which states there are not enough S.T.E.M. workers in the U.S. as they throw S.T.E.M. workers out of their chairs for cheap H1 Visa labor... DISGRACEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Economics.. supply and demand ... salaries have not gone up in yrs... so there is enough supply and plenty of U.S. S.T.E.M. workers... hire the young American kids out of college for cheaper labor... or train unemployed workers here... keep the U.S. with the leading edge in technologies.. not a different country.. OMG!!
