Do not discourage your American children from STEM educations. This is what foreigners want and will only make them seem more powerful. The whole situation is a disgusting disgrace and an insult to my American intelligence. CEOs at these U.S. companies who are enjoying the safety and financial benefits of the U.S. while defying the U.S. laws and citizens need to be extradited. Any government official that is not working in the best interests of the U.S. citizen also needs extradited and impeached. These people do not belong in the U.S. -

What government that has any merit would put 3rd world foreigners over and above their own superior, sophisticated citizens?REPORT COMMENTS

American engineers and IT workers with 25+ years experience are being asked to train their foreign replacements. Why are we encouraging students to study math and engineering when these jobs are being taken by foreign workers?REPORT COMMENTS

I'm in the process of training a group of offshore employees who are replacing me and a large number of my co-workers. They will be assessed in a couple of months to determine if they have learned enough to replace all of us who have anywhere from 20 to 30 plus years of experience. Regardless of the outcome of this assessment these people will replace us. The only thing they bring to the table is a cheaper salary. My employer (a foreign-based business) has no respect for US employees and for the customers to whom we provide a service and yet they are allowed to maintain a constant downsizing and a movement of our jobs overseas.REPORT COMMENTS

Many H1Bs are disrespectful of the American worker. Many will mock a U.S. worker and the worker's children. This is perfectly O.K. with the management of corporations. In fact, they encourage it.REPORT COMMENTS

There is NO EXCUSE for any company to hire a non-American over an American. I refuse to work for any company where my bosses are not citizens of the U.S. U.S. citizens need to quit seeing the "good" in any of this. If an H1B wants to become pregnant while here, that is fine, but that does not guarantee citizenship and that person needs to be deported when their visa is up. U.S. citizens need not agree with what I am saying. But, at the same time, do not complain when your standard of living is becoming more in line with that of a 3rd world country. U.S. citizens need to protect ourselves!REPORT COMMENTS

As an American IT worker, I believe that it is unfair that a company would ask me to lead an offshore team of 30 people. I can't understand these people and there is a real language barrier. Speaking English does not mean that entire thoughts and details are being communicated. Not to mention that these people are clueless about the company, don't care about the company or the U.S. I do not believe in contributing to unemployment in the U.S. There are many educated and uneducated Americans that could easily fill these positions, be easily trained, and be proud to work for these U.S. companies.REPORT COMMENTS

This is an absolute travesty - we have been encouraging students to study math and engineering and now they are being replaced with foreign workers. This is in clear vilation of the INA. More and more engineers and IT workers are being put out of work. This includes me after 41 years as a software developer, systems engineer and solution architect.REPORT COMMENTS

We are under fire primarily from outsourcing companies from India. They come in and under bid to get in the door. Once the have a footing and therefore control over some portion of the operation, they constantly push to expand. At a certain point, they gain enough control to where there is no turning back because all of your local talent has moved on out of necessity. It is a death spiral and far too many American jobs have already been lost.REPORT COMMENTS
