My friend son is in jail in Ouachita parish at this very moment being falsely accused of setting his unstable, mentally ill ,bipolar girlfriend on fire only because she felt she wasn't getting enough attention from him and thats not the first time she has attempted suicide but now she wants him in prison so she's crying wolf because she knows she will get away with it. His mom hired a Lawyer but he doesn't seem to be doing much as of yet. Guess her son will be one more innocent guy in prison because the female lies. Its really sad because he had a good job, went out and got a family vehicle because she was pregnant he was so excited but then she decided to make a whole different plan for his life. This isn't just true for men! as I speak, I sit in a motel after being thrown out of my house simply by the words of my husband that are for the most part untrue. Homelessness is impending, and the attorney that I had threw me under the bus. im treated like a criminal, and I have no idea what im going to do. I've not had one chance to exercise my 6th amendment rights, and I've basically been crucified. this situation has to stop!! im guilty until proven innocent, and I have no chance for my day in court. My family is currently going through this. My fiance is being falsley accused and the courts are tearing our family apart. I want justice, and i want my son to have his father back. This law is much to broad and it lessens the actual abusers crime. Its taken my family out of our home and into shelters, as well as broke our hearts.REPORT COMMENTS

I am a woman and I am the victim of domestic violence by my husband.He abuses me and then call the police and lies then have me arresred.After I moved out the home it got worst.He would go to the magistrate office and take out false charges on me.so far I have 14 charges since December 2014 until today.I just got out of jail this morning on my 14 charge.my question is where is the law that is there to protect the true victims like myself.I have no contact at all with my husband and I wish not to have any.How can someone who you devoted your life to be so cruel?control control controlREPORT COMMENTS

i am a grandmother and it breaks my heart that these young ladies continue to take advantage of the working men for custody modifications in spite for jealously resons instead of best interest of the children. It costs unnecessary money to be spent on attornies than on their families and the women get off with nothing to lose or pay. This was done to me by my ex-boyfriend, so he could get out of paying child support, by making me look like a bad mother. It worked like a charm for him, via a very corrupt injustice system. He is long gone along with the dirty cops who helped him, but I am still unable to move on with my life now having an "Arrest Record with domestic battery", I an unable to get a job. I do not know how I will be able to take care of myself. I am 53 years old. I never even spanked my children but at 48 years all of a sudden I started beating people?????? That question was never asked because everyone did what ever they wanted, no one cares about you or the truth. The dirty cops never questioned anything my hateful ex ever said. Hearsay was treated as fact, and these people don't care about ruining lives. My life was nothing to all those who destroyed it, starting with the dirty cops who arrested me for "coming home". Their existence is so much more important. I lost everything and now fear I will lose my house. FDLE will not remove the charge because of something that happened over 24 years ago that has absolutely nothing to do with this. This is so critically important. This aspect of the legal system is a travesty in the modern era. Anyone can simply claim abuse, and defense is so costly that many times an innocent man or woman will simply relent to try and minimize damages. There are significant problems with how these cases originate, are subsequently built, and finally tried. Most of these issues are borderline criminal, but could also be very easily fixed. It's time that this crime is not permitted to be used as a weapon of vendetta in crumbling relationships.REPORT COMMENTS
