The courts in every state of the US need to recognize the emotional abuse and more specific actions of parental alienation. My husband had documented proof and admission from certified counselors, attorneys and cps of parental alienation, manipulation and defamation of character and the family courts in ohio take none of that in consideration when determining custody of his children. All of the above is as dangerous as physical abuseJun 23rd, 2017John N. from Fredericksburg, VA signed.

My grandchildren were given to an abusive mother after she had abandoned them for 6 months & even after taking pornographic pics of them. She was never even asked why she abandoned them. Now, after 5 yrs. of court battles, she has broken the bond between them & their father & his family, through lies, manipulation, even scripting the children's conversations. She lies in court, perjures herself (documented by the judge) but never pays for anything she does. Fix these screwed up courts, judges & $$ making racket known as family court!REPORT COMMENTS

My son's father was never held accountable for making visitation available, nor phone calls. We were in and out of court for four years. He got a slap on the wrist, an admonishment and kept on keeping our son from me. Alienation went on for 16 years. My son is now an adult, but has no interest in a reunion with me. The brain washing from his father has had a dire affect upon both my son and myself. This has got to end!!REPORT COMMENTS

I myself as well as my children are victims of parental alienation. While my children i feel are unaware of their fathers motives behind what we are going through i have to become the scary stranger to the 3 precious gifts i helped bring into this world. This august will be a year since ive been allowed to see my kids face to face. I still daily do phone calls with my younger two but as a direct result of my ex husbands brainwashing my oldest daughter believes im a monster and wont speak tp me. The situation has had such a negative affect on my oldest that two months ago she was sent to the hospital for suicidal thoughts and attempts which she blames me for. This is the worst pain ive ever felt and i wouldnt wish it pn anyone.REPORT COMMENTS

Parental Alienation is child abuse. It emotionally disrupts the child's natural tendency and requirement to have a positive relationship with a psychologically healthy, normal range and genuinely loving parent. They are forced to learn to hate and fully reject the targeted parent only due to the alienating parents inability to deal with the divorce.REPORT COMMENTS

Do what's right for the children so that the can enjoy being a lid with two loving parents. Making these kids a bargaining chip for financial gain is simple not acceptable. It's time for a true leader to step up to the plate and bring this injustice to an end.REPORT COMMENTS

Its been a year since ive seen my daughter. My ex wont let her visit me and the courts wont enforce our agreement. But God forbid her support check is one day later than she expects it. When a Father's money is demanded but his presence is rejected, the Family Court system has failed.REPORT COMMENTS

Children deserve both parents. Psychological studies prove children are less likely to have behavioural problems and less likely to goto jail when both parents are involved in the childs life.REPORT COMMENTS

Alienating parents need to be held accountable for their actions and courts need to dig deeper when the alienator claims the child doesn't want to spend time with their alienated parent. Jist speaking to the child will not get to the truth because they are unaware of what is happening.REPORT COMMENTS

A person breaks the law and they get a public defender BUT a parent is denied their parenting time and if they don't have the money for an attorney, they lose their child. Every child is entitled to their own attorney free of charge so that the courts can really do what is in the child's best interest. NEVER should the decision about a child be based on who can afford the better attorney. Courts take a year or two to decide parenting time and custody which is causing our children to miss out on parenting time with each of their parents. There is only 18 years of childhood. This affects the children throughout their life and affects how they raise their own children. Parental alienation is happening all too often and the parents are getting slap on the hand for visitation interference. If the parent breaks the court order, they should be punished just like someone breaking the law for stealing. These parents are stealing time from the other parent. We need to put a stop to it.REPORT COMMENTS

Please make Patential Alienation a punishable crime against a child! Our children are suffering from being torn away from loving parents by the hands of alienative parents without court consent or approval. Neither our Family Court System, our Justice System, or Child Protective Services recognize alienation as a crime againgst a child. Nor, does our Family Court System move swift enough to help prevent this form of abuse from happening. I have not seen or talked to my 8 year old daughter in over a year now since her Dad kicked me out of the house. Her Dad has blocked all lines of communication to her, and told her I died in a car accident! Like many other children, she is being legally emotionally tramatized and abused! We need your help! We need it now! Pease pass this into law now for our children sake. Thank You, Destiny's Mom Andrea M CookREPORT COMMENTS
