I find it unfair that widow's benefits are denied because I was employed in the public sector. I did pay and continue to pay taxes just as those employed in the private sector who do receive SS benefits.REPORT COMMENTS

Teachers in Illinois are similarly affected, but not as well organized. Thank you for your efforts. As a widow, my "Government Pension" is "offset"by a 2/3's reduction in social security...absolutely ridiculous and so unfair as I paid as required into both systems..REPORT COMMENTS
