This amendment completely undermined and violated the intent and spirit of the protection act of 1971 - all because welfare ranchers wanted permission to destroy as many wild mustangs and burros as possible so they could graze their livestock on the cheap. And Senator Burns was their instrument to accomplish this nefarious deed! It's time our lawmakers stopped catering to special interest groups that line their campaign coffers with bloodmoney to achieve their personal agendas! Restore honor to elected offices and get rid of the career politicians !REPORT COMMENTS

The Burns Act was passed without the public's knowledge. We voted on and endorsed the WHBA in NO way did the public want the Burns Act. It needs to be repealed. The lands taken need to be given back or at least the same amounts and finally the wild horses in holding need to be released. It is time, NO it is way past time. Repeal the Burns Act now.REPORT COMMENTS

Our wild horses and burros should be the first priority in regards to animals on our public lands managed by the BL, instead of coming after grazing cattle owned by private individuals. The act got it right, please repeal the damaging amendment now. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS

Cattle and sheep are not native to our public lands nor should they have president over these lands. Horses have improved the land given to them, what was once unwanted land is now rich with grasses made possible because of the horses. Cattle and sheep do not reseed the land. Horses do! Save our horses and the land.REPORT COMMENTS
