I find it shameful that we as Americans have to see our wild horses rounded up and slaughtered while cattle and sheep are allowed to graze freely on our public lands. The original intent of these lands were for the people and not a group of ranchers. If you are going to decrease grazing then the cut backs should start with domestic cattle and sheep first and not the horses and burros which belong to all Americans. It is a shame that we as Americans cannot freely photograph or enjoy these animals but instead can only see thousands of domestic cattle and sheep instead. If I wanted to see cattle and sheep I can do it right here in Ky by driving past any family farm. I personally think that if the people out west want to be ranchers then they should only do it on their own land like every other farmer in the USA, Many farmers across the country graze and care for their live stock on their own family farms. If it is good enough in other states then why not out west? Ranchers should not have more cattle than they could safely graze on their own land anyway. Stop the roundups of our wild horses. I as a tax payer should not have to pay big bucks for cattle farmers to graze our public lands. This is nothing more than screwing the We The People.Apr 4th, 2015Someone from Phoenix, AZ signed.

What the blm is doing to our wild horses and burros is criminal, managing to extinction. ALL herds are below genetic viability. Why is eco-tourism not implemented and promoted to generate billions in revenue for local and state economies? Continuing to allow welfare ranching in these arid regions will only cause further desertification and destruction of our public lands.REPORT COMMENTS

Sneaky amendments that get added in are so wrong! Especially when it's a personal agenda! This needs to be put in the trash! Our wild horses should remain wild and free!REPORT COMMENTS

By the Burns Amendment, the BLM has created a market for "organic horse meat" around the world. Our wild horses are being shipped to Mexico and Canada by the double deck truck loads where they are cruely slaughtered and end up on European and Asian tables for $130.00 per pound. This is wrong on do many levels and has to stop. Don't tell me there are too many horses on the range until the BLM removes all the cattle off the same range. Cattle outnumber horses at the rate of 50 to 1. My tax dollars are subsidizing cattle operations to have a cheap grazing, while our horses are being rounded up, kept in cruel confinement, and sold to kill buyers for $10.00 each. Stop it now! Repeal the Burns Amendment!REPORT COMMENTS
