The instances of horses being run for 10-20 miles, of baby horses born along the way being left out to die, the pregnant mares who go into labor and stop to give birth who are shot because they stopped, are horrific violation of every humane law, yet it is allowed to continue - and an extraordinary amount of our public tax monies are paid to these horse and burro abusers. Add my voice to the list !! The burns amendment goes against everything the wild free roaming horse and burro act was meant to do. Repeal the Burns Amendment. Restore protection to the wild mustangs and burros. We have lost too many already. I just read an article about a mare that foaled in the slaughter line. This is an American tragedy that will go down in the history books if we lose our wild horses to extinction . Thank you now please do the right thing.
