I will not register to vote until the electoral college is abolished. My voice (and yours) won't be heard otherwise. -

It should be the popular vote that elects the Presidents... Just like EVERY OTHER elected office... This electoral vote has destroyed America.REPORT COMMENTS

We tend to visit this every four years; the counter arguments to continue to use the electoral college seem to be more "what ifs" and "why nots." A popular vote of under 50% could be treated much the same way a tie of 269 or no candidate receiving 270 electoral college votes would be treated.REPORT COMMENTS

Why do we in 2016 still have the electoral college? it has outserved its usefulness. We are not living in the time of horse and buggy but in a time where we have put man on the moon. We live in a time where we no who is running for President and we can watch the candidates debate on live tv. We listen to the candidate's speeches, we can in a few hours jump on a plane and see them in person . Our votes should count. The electoral college wipes out our and a few chosen people elect the Presicent. This is not fair. Our votes should elect President.REPORT COMMENTS

Let's say one person decides what car everyone in a state buys. The car manufacturers get to "lobby" (bid) for the vote. Most citizens want a practical, affordable model, and vote accordingly. But a high-end sports car manufacturer has the best bid and wins! The citizens now have a car that won't work for their families, their jobs, their lives, and they get to pay for it for years to come... That would be stupid. And so is the electoral college.REPORT COMMENTS

Electoral college was added to the Constitution in 1787 when we only had 13 smaller States in our Union and not a lot of people. Today's landscape has totally altered, this political system of electing a United States President is not only outdated it is archaic. Every single citizens vote is not counted, it does not matter. I, as many other want our votes counted. This is not a democracy, for the people, by the people. We need to change and make every vote matter no matter what ones political leanings may be or which State you happen to reside within.REPORT COMMENTS

The electoral votes are not fair. When the people choose whom they want, it should remain that way. Not changed by someone bought and paid for.REPORT COMMENTS

Electoral Colleges are no longer needed in this day and age with all the forms of media candidates are well heard and seen. We as citizens & tax payers deserve to have our individual votes heard and seen as well. Electorals can be bought and sold and do not represent the majority! We should ALL BE HEARD AND COUNT!REPORT COMMENTS
