I've been a diabetic for 30 years and what I paid for insulin last year was around eight to nine Thousand dollars . My cost of insulin in the past 28 years wasn't that much money . I am disabled and living on Medicare and my costs are more than I can bear . Maybe I should join black lives matter so I can get some free stuff because I really need some new clothes ? What has America become the people need to take back our country for the greater good of the people and not the people who are profiting off of them . shame on all the politicians and lobbyists who put forth these rules and regulations. shame on all the politicians and lobbyists who put forth these rules and regulations -

No medication should be cost hundreds of dollars. My father is insulin dependent and on a limited budget, because it is so expansive he doesn't take it like he should. No child should have to worry about the parent.REPORT COMMENTS

When I became a Diabetes Educator in 1989, insulin was $17 a vial. Granted, the newer more expensive insulins have definite advantages over the animal/ synthetic human ones we had back then: fewer allergic reactions, more predictable effects on blood sugar. Recently, I've noticed some patients reverting back to these older products because they can't afford the shockingly increased prices of the newer medications. Insulin pricing has, in essence, turned back the clock on diabetes management by 20 years. Is this the best we can do? In the greatest country in the world? Maybe great, but certainly not fair.REPORT COMMENTS
