Kids committing crimes at 17 need rehabilitation and a 2nd chance at life! Too many 1st time offenders are not given the 2nd chance at living a life. Instead they are being punished, raped and abused legally in prison. What message does this send when kids make mistakes? My husband was sentenced to 25 yrs plus 2 strikes. Thts only because he took the plea deal. Otherwise it would have been 76 yrs plus 2 life sentences. Crazy part is he didn't even kill anybody. Ya he was young n dumb but now is a good man tht admits to his mistakes and whats to come home to us. My 7 yr old son loves him and is happy my husband became his papa. He's been in for 10 years now wthout ANY WRITE UP'S. Don't understand the system. More evil peole get out early but he can't... He deserves another chance in life.. Cut 85% to 66%..REPORT COMMENTS
