My husband has been away from my self and our daughters since 2008 since then he has completed 2 vocational courses, dropped from a level 4 to a level 2 has stayed out of trouble the whole time.. In my eyes he has learned and done his time. 5 years left on his sentence but the passing of this law would make a difference please help to bring him and many others who do have loved ones who love and need them back home.REPORT COMMENTS

I agree that everyone makes mistakes and there are those that are truely good people who have familys out here that need their support. My husband is a father to eight loving caring and supportive and because this mistake now is taken away from his familys life 6yrs. Everyone deserves a second chance. If they are taking neccessary programs and changing for the better while there, why not be given the chance to true rehabilitation and come home to their families having learned their lessons.REPORT COMMENTS

My thought on reducing 85% of first time violent offenders. Should be giving a second chance as long as they follow program rehabilitation, model Inmate.Released on their parole with random drug testing and put on work search finding a job to be productive citzen to their comunity.REPORT COMMENTS
