I spent 30 years putting my country before my own family and now all the veterans are going to suffer? Some of us are so close to getting our degrees and now we may lose a chance at a degree in aviation.Mar 21st, 2015Someone from Camp Verde, AZ signed.

Creating a Bill that includes flight training and other higher cost degree programs that makes sense, is what needs to be accomplished. Eliminating the coverage on all who are presently enrolled in a flight degree program or those who joined the military with the plan to return home and then become a pilot through the GI Bill, is totally unacceptable. Eliminating coverage for those currently pursuing an aviation degree that includes flight training would be wasteful and disruptive. It is also disrespectful to all veterans and their families to require them to move to restart another degree program which most likely would require them to move, upsetting their families life once again. Most veterans required to change their degree program because of this misguided bill, would not have enough academic months left to start and finish a new degree program . This Bill change would be a poor addition to an already poorly written GI Bill.REPORT COMMENTS

Veterans sacrifice everything for God, Honor, and Country which is missing from our society and needs to return before it is too late. We as a society owe them for their service.REPORT COMMENTS

Our men and woman whom have served should have the opportunity to enhance their career in any direction they desire. They served us, now we serve them. As a Tax payer having a pilot train and incur $350,000 + to become a pilot is crazy (as we have read in the news) but that is the minority. Yes I do think some people take advantage of the benefit. We all know some people take advantage of unemployment or other welfare programs but you don't see the government discontinuing those! Quality programs do cost between $100,000 to $180,000.REPORT COMMENTS

I have been saving for 2 years to move near a school and start flight training. My entire plan since I came back from deployment is in jeopardy and if it is ruined I will have wasted all this time and once again be stuck with no direction and a lost dream.REPORT COMMENTS

As a civilian seeking to become a pilot I know how daunting and expensive it is for flight school so I support helping those who have sacrificed for our country attaining their dreams and goals. After all its the least we could do since the VA sucks at providing them with other help That they need.REPORT COMMENTS

This is no way to treat our veterans! Many have set important career goals dependent on the provisions of current benefits. Keep our promises to those who have served so well.REPORT COMMENTS
