This is a very debilitating terrible disease. I have not been able to hold a job very long do to being sick and missing work. Please please recognize this disease as a disability. I have had several members of my support group pass away from this disease. It is excrusiatingly painful and causes extreme fatigue. I am in bed most of my life. At this point in time there is no cure for gastoparesis. We have to live on drugs and many have major surgeries to try and make ourselves feel somewhat better.REPORT COMMENTS

This is a terrible, terrible disease. People look at you like there is nothing wrong with you but they don't see the suffering that goes on daily. There needs to be more information and knowledge out there for people who are making decisions for you that affects the outcome of your life. I have had this disease since 2011, have lost my job, friends and loss of time with family because of all the affects of this disease. GET FACTS before making judgements. LEARN what this disease is about PLEASE for all of us who are suffering with it. Thank You!REPORT COMMENTS

My daughter has been diagnosed with gastroparesis. She has lost at least100 pounds in the last year. She can't eat anything. She's strong from malnutrition and dehydration must of the time. This causes muscle weakness, pain, nausea, vomiting, migraine headaches and she has 3 autoimmune diseases as well that complicate any treatment options that might otherwise help her.REPORT COMMENTS

My daughter suffers from this illness and I hate not being able to do anything for her. She is malnourished and has to take all sorts of vitamins as well as injections. Not to mention keeping prescribed anti nausea medication on hand at all times. She has to have a limited diet just to help foods keep moving, the only medicine on the market to help this has just been proven to cause Parkinson disease and facial paralysis if taken long term. There is nothing for these individuals who suffer. They can seek work but keeping a job is hard due to having to miss so much work, they don't feel bouts of sickness coming on like a cold.REPORT COMMENTS
