I too am a sufferer of this horrible disease. I was diagnosed 1 1/2 years ago with severe idiopathic gastroparesis. Please please please help people suffering with this dibilitating disease. Most days going to work is almost impossible . Some days getting out of bed is not even possible.REPORT COMMENTS

at a person that has Gastroparesis it is no joke your life is tore up u don't kno if your goin to wake up sick one day or if your goin to eat the next ice went days with out eating and drinking cause my stomachs just swells up so painful u can't move all u can do is cry and pray it stops soon im noting asking for hand outs but when u can't hold a job cause u r sick every other day can't get out of bed can't move from pain these people needs help bad!!! so please please pass this then maybe i my self can get help to take care of my sonREPORT COMMENTS

I have been suffering with this off & on debilitating illness since 2010 & my condition just increasing gets worse. FMLA only protects your job for 3 months. Even though I use an intermittent LOA, any days outside of the 90 leaves me wide open for termination, so there are many days that I am forced to go to work even though I know I am too sick to function. If you get fired & then are lucky enough to get a new job, it's hard trying to get medical benefits & you are only eligible for FMLA after you've been employed for 12 months or a certain amount of hours. There is nothing in place to help all of us infected. Something needs done. Too many of us are suffering, we also need to be recognized.REPORT COMMENTS
