It angers me to hear that there is so either overly protective cop or corputed cop that kills our pets because they run around, bark or look at them wrong. What dont these cops have family pets as well? Are they so ruthless they kill other peoples pets? Where is the justice in this? Everytime I read about a pet being killed by an officer, the department said it was justified justice. I think the police officers and the department should be held liable and accountable for this. The families needs to sue for the lost of their family pets/members!REPORT COMMENTS

They need training badly on how to handle a family pet that just might be protecting his home and family members from to him is an unknown intruder. Everytime I hear of another family dog being shot by police, it makes me angry. I think all police across the US and the world need to make it mandatory that their officers go through a special traing class regarding shooting dogs. Those of us who have dogs love them as much as those who have human children. It is desvistating for us to loose our pets for no good reason. In most cases where family pets are killed, in my opinion, it is because the officers are afraid of dogs. A friendly dog is going to go upto even a stranger to greet them. And officers need to stay out of peoples yards that are fenced. Too many innocent dogs are killed just out of what I think is fear.REPORT COMMENTS
