if the police ever come to my house for any reason and shoot my dog who i love as my child, ill be so enraged and in such despair, ill not be responsible for my actions. there is one rule at my home and that is that i treat you how you treat my dog, even if you have a badge. police are supposed to serve and protect, but if they keep killing members of peoples family, they will become the enemy in the peoples eyes.REPORT COMMENTS

I cannot express what a horrible person it is that harms an animal in any manner. For someone who is in law enforcement to do such a horrendous thing is beyond comprehension.. Anyone in law enforcement who does such a thing is nothing short of a monster. Any one in law enforcement that thinks what he did is ok, or he shouldn't have done it, it was only a dog., I don't think he should be punished for it. might want to rethink that . People are watching how our law enforcement officials respond to this and believe me that little puppy and what that monster did to it and what your response to it is, may determine how much longer you remain in law enforcement. Fire that monster, charge him with animal abuse at it's highest level. I wouldn't want him in my community, PROTECTING AND SERVING. That puppy , showed how much respect that monster had for life. I had a sister Judy Smith that would be sobbing right now for the puppy and in a rage over the monster. Just as I am right now. The only legetimste use of deadly force is if you feel you are in eminent danger! A dog cannot make you feel like you are in eminent danger of losing your life. A dog can only bite. If you are that afraid then I question if you are fit for duty as an officer!! A taser or pepper spray is better suited. There is no excuse, EVER, to take a life...dog or other!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I live in Rockingham County VA. Recently a police officer shot and killed an 8 month old puppy for NO REASON AT ALL. He was riding his bike, carrying his gun off duty and shot the helpless sweet puppy who did nothing wrong just because he could. This HAS TO STOP!!! He should be punished to the fullest extent of the law......and never be allowed to work as a law enforcement agent OR carry a weapon again.REPORT COMMENTS
