I am a disabled combat veteran with several service connected disabilities. The VA recognizes the medical value of marijuana, yet I cannot benefit from it in my home state without risk of being treated like a criminal! The quality of life can be improved for many veterans and civilians as well with the legalization of medical marijuana, not to mention that it is a natural, God-given gift. Please take the time to support your sick veterans and sick people throughout Kentucky by legalizing medical marijuana.REPORT COMMENTS

I sincerelly and honestly believe that it wou ld strongly benefit the legalization of medical marijuana in the State of Kentucky. There are many people in other states, such as California, Oregon and Washington, who use Medical Marijuana to aleviate certain pains associated with cancer treatments and to help to decrease pains associated with other illnesses like Glaucoma. Marijuana is much less addictive and has far less side effects than the medications these patients are currently using. It is also less addictive and harmful than Alcohol and Nicotine. Tell your legislator that its time to start helping the economy by saving Medicare and Medicaid money from useless medications and legalize Marijuana.REPORT COMMENTS

Prohibition of alcohol failed and eventually we realized the error and allowed the regulated sale and use of a much more dangerous drug, alcohol. It is high time we realize our error in making marijuana illegal and regulate and tax this PLANT and flower to possibly get some people relief without being slaves to the pill bottle and allowing phama companies to gorge their wallets on the pain and afflictions of Americans.REPORT COMMENTS

We all know this would be good for the state and the economy. It's here any way, why not get it out in the open so it can be regulated? Why let Mexico and the other countries fight us in our own country for control of illegal drugs when we can make them usefull for our economy and the public? Are the fat cat politicians getting more out of it being illegal than making it so every one that needs it can get it for a legal purpose? In my opinion, that's the only reason it's still illegal to this day. I have RA and have to do without pain meds because I'm on the KY medical card and they don't cover but a certin amount so I have to use illegal street sold drugs to relieve my pain. I'd much rather know my money is going to support my country than to some low life drug king that has no concern for my safety.REPORT COMMENTS

Really, marijuana should just be legalized and regulated like cigarettes and alcohol. If anything should be illegal its alcohol and cigarettes. They kill people and the government gives people a choice to do that. Marijuana is my salvation. I am an atheist and the war against the wonderful marijuana needs to stop. Stop locking people up for consuming and ingesting a plant that has never killed anyone. If our government has any love in their heart they will stop fining and locking people up for a harmless plant. This is a genuine concern for the future of our country. Please stop the war against marijuana!REPORT COMMENTS

My wife has had Lukiemia for the last year and a half. Every Oncologist she has seen has said they fully support medical marijuana because of its benefits for people in her situation. She takes 26 pills a day and most of them are for pain, anxiety, and nausia. Every Oncologist has said marijuana would decrease the amount of pills she has to take every day. They say one of the most benifical things would be that she could stop taking such high doses of addictive opiates and replace it with marijuana that is not phisicaly addictive at all. Please help my wife and the thousans of others in Kentucky that would benifit from medical marijuana.REPORT COMMENTS

I feel legalizing marijuana would benefit our wonderful state in many ways... Kentucky has wonderful farmland to produce marijuana and create many jobs, also this would reduce the inmate population within all correctional complexes, which would save A LOT of money and free up MUCH needed room withing these complexes and allow us the freedom we deserve not only as Kentuckians but also as Americans. On top of all of this there is definitely proven medical benefits which would help a lot of people in need...PLEASE PASS THIS.REPORT COMMENTS

Please let's get this passed. I am disabled and recently moved here. After 15 years of pain medication and never a problem with abuse the doctor here will not let me have my pain medication due to the fact that I smoked pot for the pain too. I went from 90 pills a month to 30. The quality of my life had gone down hill since this has happened.....Wake up Kentucky.REPORT COMMENTS

I could take 18 (12 pain pills tramadol and 9 flexeril muscle relaxaer ) pills a day and still be in enuff pain to have to use more pills. OR i can smoke maybe a jont a day and be able to do just about anything i want to do from fishing to WORKING without much pain. And i cant work if i have used mariijuana ( because of the drug test ) I have never used it the workplace or worked while impaired on any job i have had. I only use it after i get home at night. i think its time kentucky had a Medical Marijuana law or just legalizing marijuana out right. alcohol has killed more ppl then Marijuana but yet alcohol is legal and more ppl use Marijuana then alcohol. how about this LET THE PPL VOTE ON IT..REPORT COMMENTS
