I have had 4 shots to date, my 5th is this coming Monday. I am also taking hormones to help with the hot flashes. I have some pain in my joints but daily exercise helps, also I have some memory loss and difficutly performing simple tasks (at times), my biggest concern is the depression side, I am feeling useless and crying for no reason at certain times of the month and there are weeks that I feel great. It's weird, but compared to the pain I suffered before lupron this is manageable. I'm hoping for no other complications. My dr. has recommended that I stay on this drug but I am refusing to do so. -

This medication did not work as suggested. However, I did receive almost every single unpleasant side effect listed. And I have finished my treatment, and am concerned about how long this will last. I believe there needs to be additional testing done and more warning labels placed on the medication.REPORT COMMENTS

Life as we knew it, changed after a few months of Lupron. My photographic memory, GONE! Can barely finish a sentence or thought. Suddenly, I have ADD? Can't finish even the most simple tasks anymore. This was NOT me....now it is. And my poor husband watched helplessly as the woman he married slipped away. Next week will mark one Year since my wife and I decided to take the safe path, Lupron, vs surgery. The single worst choice of my entire life. As i write this I still wonder... Will my life ever be the same. I need to fight back the tears, pause to control the emotions. I had to watch the destruction of my best friend. As much as I tried to help to hold to comfort. There is no way to make someone feel better once the side effects start. Hot flashes, pain all over, night sweets and those are the little ones. The memory changes the emotional changes and then the never ending headaches, these are the hardest. My wonderful wife has never been the same. The anger caused by the side effect plus the headaches and lack of sleep all rolled into one have destroyed her emotional and mental state. She tries hard to be normal or more normal. Not only have this impacted her, but our family has suffered. Our kids just want their mother back. They want the loving mommies back. It hurts us all. My last dosage of lupron (I was put on it TWICE - first time was 1 shot every month for 3 months, second time was the long term dose 1 shot every 3 months) After my 2nd 3mo. shot a new ob/gyn took me off the drug right away and state I NEVER should have been put on the drug a second time. Since coming off of the drug (last shot was in 1999) I have suffered from debilitating pain in my muscles and joints. Severe muscle weakness, balance issues, bone and joint pain, dizziness and anxiety/depression to the point of near suicide. No doctor can find a "Physical" reason for my disability, but they also WILL NOT listen to my belief that the drug Lupron has caused these issues. I have been on disability and fighting social security now for nearly 2 years. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE NOW!REPORT COMMENTS

At a cost of over $1000 per injection for 6 months, this drug is ruining our lives and making drug company execs rich. Please stop giving this drug to women (and men) who trust their brainwashed and unknowing Doctors. Lupron was a horrible drug for my body. I now suffer such severe joint pain that I can barely walk. I was strong, athletic, fit, and able before Lupron. Now, at 38, I am weak, overweight, and unable to do many simple daily things. My hands and arms are numb due to nerve compression from severe inflammation. Lupron has taken my quality of life and TAP Pharm is letting this happen to hundreds and thousands of women. Long-term side effects for me have been hot flashes, memory loss, tachycardia (cardiomiopathy), weight gain, dizziness, insomnia, anxiety, depression, bone pain in entire body, fibromyalgia, strong headaches, numbness in parts of body, mood swings, and lack of energy. All these symptoms occurred during Lupron treatment, 6 months, and have continued strong 4 years later. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DRUG!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I have to watch my wife moan in agony every morning when she steps to the ground out of bed, which is hard to get her out of in the first place. The joint pain is unbearable for her. It is ruining her business, her mental health is deteriorating and is she is making big mistakes that cost us dearly in business. she cant remember simple things, has vision problems, and its only getting worse after a year of being off and from only 2 shots.REPORT COMMENTS

My daughter was treated with lupron injections for precocious puberty. She started treatment at age 7 and continued for 3 years. She is now 17 and has moderate to severe joint, bone and muscle pain. We are currently awaiting an appointment with a neurologist for her severe lower back/hip pain and tingling/numbness. She is a very active and otherwise healthy young woman. I have often questioned the possibility that precocious puberty and/or Lupron might have attributed to her health issues. I beg that further studies be done on the long term effects of Lupron, not just for my daughter, but for everyone that has been and is currently being treated with this drug.REPORT COMMENTS
