Please repeal this bill. It is unfair to the hard working people who work for the state, cities and towns of this state.REPORT COMMENTS

My mother was the main supporter of our family and we recently tragically lost her to cancer. My father worked for the federal government for 30 years and is now retired. We were forced to lose our loved one and now we are told that the money she earned isn't ours because of this GPO provision. It is unfair.REPORT COMMENTS

my pension will not be enough for me to stay living in my home. I am being forced into retirement after 21 years due to budget cuts, and my few years of soc. sec. will not be available for another 6 years. when that does become available it will probably all be taken dollar for dollar and I will get nothing. I began working at the age of 15 and at 60 will be forced to live in poverty thanks to our american way of treating our elders....REPORT COMMENTS

How is this fair? If I worked at company A for 20 years with a 401K and then went to Company B for another 20 years on a pension, they don't reduce my 401K?REPORT COMMENTS

I am one of the women that is affected by the Windfall Elimination Provision. I am almost 72 and am working full time for the University Of Massachusetts Lowell. Because I need to work at least another few years to be able to retire. I am a widow and have been for quite a few years. If this act was repealed it sure would help me and and of course countless other people. So if this bill B.R.235 could be eliminated I would greatly appareciate it and maybe I would retire a little bit earlier. This law is very unfair. Massachusetts and few other states are the only ones affected by this law. Let's make all the states equal.REPORT COMMENTS

I am retired after 20 years of active Duty from the Air Force. I paid into social security for all of those 2o years plus some from part time jobs prior entering the USAF. Now I am working for the State of Massachuestts that hopefully one day I can retire from there. 20 years of Active duty USAF + hopefully 25 plus years of civil servant to the state of Mass + never collecting unemployment or been a burdon on any social program = me being penalized by reduction of social security. I've been working hard all my life. Please repeal this ridiculous and unfair provision. Illegal immigrants are entitled to more than people who have worked hard all their lives. I deeply resent this and what is the incentive to be a hard-working underpaid state or city worker. Tell me please????????REPORT COMMENTS
