I've been a DACP officer for 4 years now and served in Iraq as a Military Police Officer. I am ashamed of my reps for their lack of respect for these brave men and women who ARE and NEED to be recognized as Sworn LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. I believe the only reason you have failed to act is high ranking military and civilian officials working on post nation wide are scared their dirty laundry will come out and no longer could fraud waste and abuse, sexual assaults, domestic violence and so on be know by the citizens of this grest nation. We are good enough to take a bullet for you but not to bring true criminals to justice. You're scared of us and what power we deserve.REPORT COMMENTS

As a Federal Criminal Investigator this Bill is way over Due. I Totally agree with this Letter!!! For 12 years I have worked with NCIS, FBI, ATF, U.S. Marshalls, on several cases form Narcotics to OUTLAW Motorcycle Gangs. All Above have arrest powers but we don't. Many of these cases happened off Federal property but have a Federal NEXUS ..So to have arrest powers on Federal Property and not having any Arrest powers after a 8 hour shift off Federal Property is not only dangerous and a Officer Safety issue When 99.9 percent of my cases are civilian not military based ..The feeling when you leave work knowing you see civilians you have locked up or investigated off federal property and have the fear that you have no jurisdiction out in town so to speak is just plain wrong as a Law Enforcement Officer you just don't quit being a cop after your 8 hour day!!REPORT COMMENTS
