I am one of the people who have served my time for drug and alclohol related charges. I served just under 5 years for these charges and have been clean and sober since Feb 13 of 2000. I am now enrolled in college pursuing a degree in business management. I am now worried that I am wasting my time as I have been turned down for every job I have applied for except one that is "run" by a man I go to church with. Thank God because my previous job was sent to Mexico. ( I only had that job through a temp agency and I know people in management). Every job I have applied for was a job I had the skills to do and had references to speak on my behalf yet with all that I have had one interview out of dozens of resumes. It appears obvious that I will never get a fair assessment due to my past. So as this petition states I have basically been given a life sentence to struggle financially and never have a legitimate career due to bad decisions I made when I was younger.REPORT COMMENTS
