Having a felony has been the sentence that keeps punishing. You can NEVER lead a normal life of getting a job and making a path toward moving beyond the felony.

I have not had a life or a good job for years, because of something I did when I was 18. I did my time, than went to college, now I can't find work.

The nation will not recover unless people are working. This bill will put thousands back to work immediately.

Let me tell you something Mr. Obama, the one that "knows everything", here in the real world outside the White House, people are starving because there are no jobs and no one is hiring, and you can sit down and sign a bill to kill more babies! Do you think that you are going to escape the wrath of God? WHERE are all those jobs you promised that will get created and what kind of change did u bring to America? Certainly a change no one can afford, and I hope you will realise that people that are just as smart as you are if not smarter, lost their houses and can't put food on the table, because they have been laid off. Now you sit nicely at your gold table and eat some of this, but don't worry , GOD will make JUSTICE!!!!

I was convicted of not having a permit to export firearms when all I was doing was trying to legally ship a yacht owner's firearms to his vessel. They were his registered weapons for his licensed security detail and used for anti-piracy purposes. Nevertheless, I got caught with a felony. Because of this it has been impossible for me to land gainful employment.

I was charged with possession of Marijuana, but did not serve any prison time. Since then, I graduated from my school with a 4.0, President of the Student Council and 100% Perfect Attendance. It's time for change.

I was convicted of a felony(writing bad checks) in 1986 and was given probation, a fine and restitution. I satisfied my sentence with the court system over 20 years ago: I sent paperwork to the superior court clerk to have this felony expunged and I was denied. This is an outrage, I attended nursing school and graduated at the top of my class, yet I can not apply for my nursing liscense due to this felony charge. With Obama being in office I had hoped he would have some compassion for the millions of Americans that are in this same situation and have paid their dues to society and want to get on with their lives, without being punished for the rest of their lives for a crime that was paid for 20 years ago. In the state of Georgia its worse, this is suppose to be a bible belt state, but although God forgives us for the mistakes we make in life, the state of Georgia can not.
