I am 43 years old, an ex-military brat. My father served 3 tours in Vietnam and I can tell you right now if my father had this technology to stay in touch with his family we might of had a chance of staying a family. I know being a child of a war veteran all I could do was pray like hell that he would return. Our men today are deployed for much longer periods and to not extend this privilege is pure HELL for everyone. How does this financial burden help the MORALE of your military men.Jul 18th, 2011Someone from Fort Worth, TX writes:
I could only wish that my brother had internet access when he served in the Air Force for twenty years. We only got to talk to him about once a month while he was stationed overseas. Please see that our soldiers, who protect our freedom, don't have to pay more of a price then they are already doing.REPORT COMMENTS

I think $100 a month is absolutely asinine. Ridiculous. For that amount of money we should be able to practically touch each other, but I couldn't even video skype with my husband. He couldn't download anything without leaving his computer running all night, and all of our skype calls were VERY choppy. Sick.REPORT COMMENTS

This should be done for the benefit of our soldiers who put everything on the line.Show some compassion and allow them easy access to their friends and family. Its a very small convenience we should provide for our military men and womenREPORT COMMENTS
