Right now, the soldiers who are deployed are made to pay for the internet, which might I add is terrible at best! I think we already ask our soldiers and their families for enough when we tear them apart for a year or more at a time...the least the government could do is not make them pay for internet to keep in touch with their loved ones! Maybe they should take a step into a soldier, or even a soldier's wife's shoes for a day and see how quickly things change! -A Military WifeOct 27th, 2011Someone from Lakewood, WA signed.

The company who makes these soldiers pay for internet makes a lot of money. But I personally think its ridiculous, its over 5 dollars just for an hour. And most soldiers will still spend the money if it means talking to a loved one. But we shouldn't make them pay. If it wasn't for our soldiers, our country would not still be standing.REPORT COMMENTS

Soldiers should have free access to the Internet. I don't understand why this is even an issue. They are giving everything to serve this country. In today's society Internet is a necessity which our service people should have.REPORT COMMENTS

I'm starting to get the feeling that everything's such a hassle for these men and woman who serve. People who are in charge get better benefits and paid well to just give out orders, well go put yourselves in front of the fire and see what it feels like. Gosh, a lot of these people lose their lives, if free internet is the one thing they can enjoy for God's sakes stop thinking about it and give it to them. They deserve ALL the benefits in this nation, why because they serve not only for their country but also for their families. This is ridiculous along with all the other "privileges" they want to take away from them.REPORT COMMENTS

My husband is Active Duty Air Force. He has served in Iraq, and as of yesterday completed his short tour in South Korea. I am really surprised by the fact that there is even a petition to sign. Is free Internet REALLY asking too much for the men and women who protect this country?? The lack of support for our troops makes me sick. I really hope that someone out there takes a stand for our soldiers, because this is getting ridiculous. *Sigh*REPORT COMMENTS

Why are we charging soldiers to use the internet? They are fighting for our freedom and taken away from their families so the least the government can do is let them use the internet for free to contact their families!!REPORT COMMENTS
