Cigna Home Delivery pharmacy just refused to fill my prescription after holding it for 26 days and filling it previously with no problems. My wife is now missing work while she begs a local pharmacy to fill the prescription and I site here bedridden going through withdrawals. I've failed an ADA complaint in hopes this will stop someday.Jan 29th, 2015Someone from Port Saint Lucie, FL signed.

I have problems getting medications in NY from pain management because of DEA and joint investigations. I suffer from 6 physical, chronic pain, TBI (3) , Spinal Injuries, Bi-lateral shoulder injuries. I am legally disabled since 2010. But my Physician's that I have gone to have told me "with all the investigations going on against MD's we are not writing anything controlled anymore" another said "The DEA has called regarding your dosages; I'm afraid that Im going to lose my license"........ the list goes on WHAT ARE PEOPLE IN MASSIVE PAIN SUPPOSED TO DO? stay in bed 23-24 hours a day and SUFFER like i've been doing. What the government is doing to control the Controlled medications is NOT humane to the people who are suffering.REPORT COMMENTS

OHIO, please contact this guy and tell him our stories and struggles with chronic pain since the government rescheduled hydrocodone. Here he speaks of abortion BUT it can be replaced with ANY ailment or disease... PLEASE! Here are excerpts of his article on MSN.com 1/28/15. Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio), wrote; "These women gave me a better understanding of how complex and difficult certain situations can become. And while there are people of good conscience on both sides of this argument, one thing has become abundantly clear to me: the heavy hand of government must not make this decision for women and families." "I have come to believe that we must trust women and families?not politicians?to make the best decision for their lives.? this from Planned Parenthood in Ohio about working with him; "no matter where they live or how much money they have -- can access the care they need without political interference.? ----------------------------------------------- It should be this way with ALL ailments, diseases, diagnosis etc. The Government needs to BUTT OUT!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Believe it or not; patients that suffer from this disability DO NOT GET HIGH FROM THEIR PAIN MEDICATIONS!!!!! All the medications do is to help the patient have some quality of life. I have been on many high doses of narcotics prescribed from my doctors and that is the most that I have ever achieved. That quality of life is in no way the life we had prior to being maimed . Getting addicted to drugs is the least of my worries, being able to pick up my grandchildren and wrestling with them on the floor has been robbed from me. Being able to function as a normal human being has been robbed from me. Being able to drive a car and take care of my own needs has been robbed from me. So remove the pain medications and you will see a HUGE INCREASE IN THE SUICIDE RATE because the pain is so intense it is beyond my abilities to describe. The patient is forgotten by husbands/wives; relatives and friends we basically become hermits and deal with our falls the best we can, breaking bones that just add insult to injury. Try walking in just one of our shoes just for a day and I bet you will remember the horror of it for the rest of your lives. " Man/Woman UP", help us, don't threaten us with removing our medications, I as well as many others that have been maimed by doctors are trying to survive on meager money; what little bit we have managed to save. Mostly, as a mother to not to be a burden on anyone we love and care about. I have to pay for repairs to my home to make it as safe as possible for me to stay at home for as long as possible, no re-imbursement for that. Even with medications, some days we just pray that God will take us and put us out of our misery. We get mixed signals to the brain due to my nerve damage by the doctor, my spinal nerves are clumped together from L3 down, so hopefully some of this makes sense. Send HELP our way, NOT THREATS! Thank you Ms. Terry DeesREPORT COMMENTS

Cut your losses with what little dignity you have left. We, the PEOPLE, have lost. The Govt has, yet again, taken a fundamental liberty away from the American people by allowing this decision to become rule. "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude ... shall exist within the United States." -- The Thirteenth Amendment The Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution guarantees individuals the right to personal autonomy, which means that a person's decisions regarding his or her personal life are none of the government's business. The Patient Bill of Rights means nothing NOW!!REPORT COMMENTS

Doctors should be treating patients for any illness or injury. I think if you go to the same doctor for all your needs he should be able to prescribe anything he knows you need!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I have Chronic Pancreatitis, and suffered for years, before it got to the point I HAD to go on narcotics to control my pain. Never wanted to use "drugs", or be a "drug-user" The pain is so intense at times, I have passed out. I am able to function a little with my meds. I have lost 80 pounds, not being able to eat, because food has become my enemy. I have to take a pill before I can even eat a few bites, most days. Now way could I, or would I, live with this pain, 24/7. Don't keep punishing folks like me, because others abuse and sell their meds. I have followed the rules to a T, passed every drug test and pill count, yet make be left to suffer and die, yes die, because I can't eat, because of the actions of others?!?!?REPORT COMMENTS

It's heartbreaking to hear that one of my older friends living in S. Fla was AGAIN denied a perscription of pain medication to treat her advanced kyphosis / scoliosis because "although I (the doctor) can see your in a great deal of pain , I don't think pain medicine is good for you". Can you think of a BETTER reason to give this 70 year old WORKING woman the MEDICINE that make her life livable? Shame on you Doctor. Shame on you DEA. Shame on you Pharmacist. Shame on you Politician. And shame on all the others who lack the education, compassion and the guts to do the right thing and treat people in pain WITH PAIN MEDICINE!REPORT COMMENTS

Just went to my pain management doctor after my doctor merged with a mainstream clinic prohibiting him from writing my medication for my Percocet I have been receiving after MANY ailments ranging from ovarian cysts, to a botched knee replacement, to a ruptured gallbladder with chronic hernia requiring them to cut me from top to the bottom of my torso instead of laparoscopic surgery as planned, Scoliosis of the thoracic spine, and my feet are disfigured badly as a birth defect. I suffer from depression from loosing my job and having PTSD. I have been on Xanax and Soma since 1998 and Percocet since my knee injury in 2011. I have 3 small children and work as a screen print assistant, a hard manual labor job. JUST FOUND OUT I WILL NOT BE RECEIVING THESE MEDICATIONS BECAUSE OF SOME STUPID STATUE! HOW THE HECK AM GOING TO GET BY. I have never overused my meds and took them as needed and every month had a few pills leftover. WHO IS GOING TO HELP US PEOPLE!?!?! I HOPE SOMEBODY BECAUSE SOMEONE NEEDS A VOICE FOR US! I am really starting to think my only option is to leave my home state of Florida since I have lived here since 1979.REPORT COMMENTS

I am signing this both for myself, and for my loved ones who have suffered in pain because of doctors' fear of the DEA. Going after doctors and pain patients who have a legitimate need for pain medicine has done nothing to stop overdose deaths or to stop addicts from getting high on opiates (they're using heroin instead). The only difference now is that a lot more people with chronic pain are suffering needlessly.REPORT COMMENTS

I belong to several support groups that require pain medicine for Chronic Pancreatitis, it's not like a back ache, and these people are not about to sell their meds, bc they are in need of them. Until you suffer from these kind of illnesses, you have no idea how this effects ones life. It is in humane to take away their pain meds and have them suffer not only pain from the disease, but from withdrawal, bc some doctors have stopped prescribing then all together and in some places, it takes months to get into pain management. I also want to address that I know personally a child of 3yrs old that recently passed away from seizures, bc her parents could not get cannabis oil legally. This is not only heartbreaking, but ridiculous, when it is proven these children improve w this oil. The people are screaming for these changes, it's the right thing to do!REPORT COMMENTS
