SUCIDE an option already considered! The shame and embarrassment along with the cost, & lack of relief is overwhelming! So many other considerations; I have allergies and often can't take generics. I've been on ever type of drug that is non-narcotic I've used subliminal, acupuncture, bio feed back , hypnosis , You name it I've tried it... I didn't do anything wrong the day the woman ran me over ! And what about our VETS? Bet the congressman has no rules for his pain needs!

Please Do Not discourage Doctors from prescribing pain- medications to those who need it. The main priorities in stopping drug abuse are Education & Prosecuting the drug cartels and neighborhood drug peddlers, not Respnsible MDs who are working to alleviate human suffering. Thank you.

an excerpt from a news story 1/9/2015; HHS spent $31M on upgraded flights, records show..... A majority of the flights by HHS executives ? a total of 5,100 ? had been upgraded because of a ?medical disability that necessitated it,? according to the documents, which cover 2009 to 2013. Under federal law, employees can fly in first class or business class when trips are longer than 14 hours, though TheExaminer reports that only 1,400 of the HHS trips fit the description. HHS is one of the federal government?s largest agencies, with an annual budget of about $60 billion. ------------------------------------------------------------------ HHS, DEA and FDA all had a hand in the current HCP rescheduling to CII. This story on MSN.com just confirms that the RULE-SETTERS, RARELY, IF EVER SUFFER. Their rescheduling of hydrocodone has intimidated millions of doctors so much so that they have QUIT prescribing pain medications that patients had been on for years, the very pain medications that alleviated the symptoms enough to function daily. These folk in these agencies WILL get what they need regardless. They need hydrocodone, they're gonna get it. They need morphine, they're gonna get it. We are up against unethical giants here, folks. this petition and every other one being circulated for the repeal of this rescheduling is, I'm afraid, useless. Might as well get used to being in pain or taking weaker pain meds that don't even work. What's really effed up is When even pain management doctors, like mine, quit prescribing hydrocodone because the new DEA, FDA and HHS approved rules are too much trouble. These agencies put the fear of GOD into these doctors and they will not budge in prescribing necessary medication to pain patients, ever again. It's a losing battle. Better to find meds on the blackmarket, skip paying a utility bill or 4 to afford them. Consider one of the bankruptcy options when you fall behind on bills due to buying high priced hydrocodone off the streets. If you can't get it legally and without stipulations now, do what you have to to get YOUR pain relief. Good Luck everyone!! You're gonna need it. No politician is gonna help us because if they do it will make them seem weak-armed on the drug war. Nope, aint gonna happen.

First,I want to,,THANK YOU, for finally addressing this epidemic. People are literally dead from this d.e.a. assassination on chronic pain suffers. They kill themselves because it is not normal human behavior too want to endure physical pain!!Yet these idiots think they are GODS,they think they, are the ones to tell all humanbeings how much there suppose to SUFFER physical pain,,its disgusting!!their arrogance has literally forced people to choose death over enduring their physical pain!We as humanbeings need to shout it to the heavans,, we never ever get addicted to ANY pills ever! We get ,''addicted'' to the physical pain RELIEF our medicines give us.If carrots stopped physical pain ,I would be eating them..They ***** about the amount of meds being prescribe, essentially telling us how much we should suffer,w/.out enduring 1 day in our shoes,,The baby boomer's are getting older, there are a lot more of us,thus more medicine being prescribe, it really is quite simple, but ,''they'' have to bud in our personal medical business.I would love for 1 day,all these a.h. be forced to endure our physical pain for 1 day,1 day of full fledge severe physical pain w/out any medicines,,and ask therm to function there normal lives,,to concentrate on there normal every day functions,,they couldn't do it,,yet they are literally forcing us to endure physical pain, when their are medicione the can and have helped all of us.Maybe we should all get together and start suing every single d.e.a. agent, doctors etc that are essentially pushing torture down our throats by forcing was to endure severe physical pain because of there shear arrogance, inhumanity, lack of compassion and pure cruelty.mw

Politicians Want & Fight So Hard & Extremely Dirty For Their Positions Because They Get Everything Free From Vehicles, Immunity, Exemptions From Laws, Forced Health Care. They Get Special Treatment, Gifts, Stay On Vacations & The List Goes On & On. Alot Of Times They're Not Even At Work. What They're Doing To The People Disgusts Me & They're Going To Have To Answer To Almighty GOD One Day. These Laws Are Ridiculous & Not Only Is It Affecting The Patients. It's Going To Be A Trickle Down Effect & Damage Our Economy Further. While Y'all Politicians Are Making Ridiculous Laws (When You Do Work), How About Figuring Out How To Deal With The Crack & Meth Heads & Murderers. It's Due Time Someone In Office Stands Up For Americans. Marijuana Should Be Legal For Those Who Need It Too. SOMEBODY STAND UP FOR PAIN SUFFERERS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. Do We Have To All Sue & Fire You Politicians & The Government?! Alot Of People Don't Bother Voting Because Our Voices Aren't Being Heard Even If We Do Vote!! Reverse This Law! And It's An Outrage That I Was Charged With A DUI Because I Have To Take Medication. I Already Don't Have A Life & Stay Home Almost Constantly. December 22nd, 2013, I Was Taking A Car Load Of Christmas Gifts That I'd Worked Very Hard To Get, To My Two Little Grand Babies That Were With Foster Parents. (They've Since Adopted Them Because My Son & His Ex Wouldn't Get Help For Meth & Crack Addictions & Continually Used Me/Lied To Me & Pretended Like They Were Serious.) It Had Rained For Almost 3 Days & While Driving I Forgot That I Didn't Get My Santa Hat. The Children's Biological Mom Was With Me & Handed Me One Of Her Extra Santa Hats & When I Put It On, I Went Off The Road Maybe An Inch But Hydroplaned Because Everything Was Flooded. Somebody Pulled My Car Out For Me & A Police Officer, Ambulance & Fire Truck Showed Up. I Don't Know Who Called Them. I Sat My Purse On The Officers Hood & He Saw My Medicine Bottles & Charged Me With DUI. My Medications Didn't Have Anything To Do With Hydroplaning. It Was Still Raining In My Face While I Underwent The Officer's Roadside Test. I'm On A Limited Income, Disabled & Have Never Been In Trouble In My Life. I've Repeatedly Had To Drive To The Next County For A Year For Unecessary Calendar Calls & Have 2 New Court Dates This Spring!! Ridiculous!! My Public Defender Won't Help Me & I Fired Him Yesterday. It's Crazy. You Are Legally Supposed To Have Your Medicine Bottles With You Rather Than Put A Few Of Each In One Bottle In Case You Need Any. It Seems That People Who Need Medicine Are Outcasts. We Should Be Electing Disabled People To Govern America. Alot Of People Don't Have Access To The Internet To Find Out What All Of These New Laws Are. I Need To Drive Uptown But My Medications Are In My System, So According To The Law, I'm DUI. I Think There's WAY TOO MUCH POWER IN THE WRONG HANDS!! I Plan On Writing Letters To Every Politician I Need To. GOD Help Us.

Dear Congress. I suffer from severe chronic pain. I have severe DJD of the joints and spine, I have had to have both hips replaced, and one revised. I have Spinal Stenosis with dreadful sciatic pain down both legs, as well neuropathic pain from Charcot Marie Tooth Disease. My physician managed my pain well with Norco. Most days I was able to attend to the actiivties of daily living as well as sleep at night. By relieving my pain, she also managed the pain induced depression.I want you to know that until you tied my Doctor's hands and made her afraid to treat me according to her best judgement my quality. of life was fair. But now that you worthless pack of overpaid imbeciles have decided that you know more than physicians I begin to understand how and why people with chronic pain commit sucide. So know that when your suicide rates climb, and suffferers of Chronic pain are forced to seek relief by other avenues. Shame on all of you. May the law of the universe come back to vou and may you have to live with the same excruciating pain you have sentenced other innocent people to.

I have a degenerative back condition and have taken hydrocodone and methadone since 1995. My last Dr. had me sign a contract to use one pharmacy only and to not ask for a lost script. I see the nurse every 30days and the Dr. on a 90 day basis. I must hand carry the script to the pharmacy with no refills. (a new script each month) however NOW my husband can not even get his Tramadol refill by his new PCP as he does NOT prescribe narcotics , OH PLEASE. I understand why people go in shooting now, this is getting asinine., I am a 58 year old woman and my husband is 75 we have better things to do than get" high"" on medication that does not make us high in the first place. This world is turning too stupid for me!!!!!!

This is a sad time for America. True, honest chronic pain sufferers will now have few or no options left them. I'm sorry to have lived to see this happen to us & don't know what our future may hold. Guess I will soon have to give up my fulltime job & apply for SSI disability as it appears I will no longer be able to physically function & be bedridden due to my ongoing severe back pain. It's a shame our government (federal & state) has ruled & regulated that we don't need access to pain medications as before because of others abuse. We will suffer & be expected to endure our unending pain in order for those officials to show their statistics of reduced med use as a result of their sadistic laws BUT these statistics will in no way reduce the illegal use of these meds as they will claim. The only people not having access to these pain meds will be us, the true pain sufferers who followed the rules.

I have followed my prescriptions, how to take them, listened to everything my doctor has told me to do and done it, have fibromyalgia and have been so mistreated by pharmacies, pharmacists, most of my doctors. I did not ask for this disease. go to my visits every 3 months primary, now drug screen every month at a pain management facitlity, have seen a neurologist. Had my NURSE diagnose fibro. I do EVERY thing this state asks me to do and in return I just got dropped by my doctor because he doesn't want to fill the prescriptions that I take - NO consultation on switching medications, NO consult on anything BOOM. and this is OK by everyone. Doctors can do this for any reason. They called me days before they knew my prescriptions were coming up - I will have no time to wean, have no time to even find a doctor, nothing. Pharmacists yelling at me that the prescription made by A DOCTOR (NEUROLOGIST) is an "overdose" and I've been on this medication and dosage for 10 years. I;m tired of following every letter, crossing every T dotting every I, jump up, jump down, done EVERYTHING and never get treated nicely... I didn't ask for this, I don't want this!!! I want to be on my elliptical for and hour and a half a day, but I CANT anymore... my body has been broken by doctors and come in every month, every three months every six months. I've paid the medical industry 1/3 of what I make for the past 5 years, and there is absolutely NOTHING I can do. Yes at this point suicide looks like a nice option.

It's a sad day in America when our elected officials stand-by and let an atrocity, such as this, happen to the American People. Why is it that they don't understand that not everyone is diverting medications, addicted to, or abusers of, HCPs? It is my hope that those politicians this letter reaches get a backbone and, for once, stand up for their constituents. It is my prayer that those politicians this letter reaches, in all the districts, engage in conversation, with cohorts in other districts and form a coalition FOR THEIR CONSTITUENTS and address the POTUS, Congress or whoever needs to be addressed to REPEAL this reclassification. Unbeknownst to many, DEA has been at this for many, many years, almost sickening that they've wasted so much time and resources for one medication affecting so few, in the grand scheme of things. To say the DEA is a failure in all aspects of their intended function, is being polite. Chronic pain patients will eventually turn to illegal means for pain control. That will be blood on DEA's, FDA's and our elected official's hands. Not that they would care or admit they did wrong by voting and passing this reclassification of HCPs. Please write a letter to the POTUS, US ATTRNY GENERAL stating what a disservice they have allowed to occur at the hands of incompetent agencies. I'm not sure it would do any good to write letters, this is my third time here and I've gotten the same cookie-cutter, computer generated BS response from the local rep in my district. So it may be a waste of time since the responses I've gotten make no mention of anything in my comments, NONE. Someday, somehow these spineless politicians will get booted out of their career offices and be replaced with new, fresh blood who TRULY gives a damn about the American people. Until then, their office staff, with a click of a mouse, silence our pleas; the reps never even read our messages. The illusion that WE might make a difference by being here OR that the politicians who these comments are intended for actually read them is just that, illusion. Sad, but true. Also know that the rule-makers rarely, if ever, suffer. They get what they need for pain, just flash their agency ID card and they are served. If only we all had one. WE wouldn't have to hear our doctors tell us he isn't prescribing us our pain medications because, "the new rules on hydrocodone are just too much trouble".

I have fibromyalgia,CFS,Sleep Apnea and Restless Leg Syndrome. I have had this for 14 yrs. My life has been filled with horrific pain. If I can't control my pain I should just crawl in a corner and die. I haven't abused any of my medications, but I'm being punished. This new law is wrong. Can't find a doctor mine retired and when you call to become a new patient the first thing they ask is are you on pain medication I answer yes ,then we are not taking any new pain management clients at this time. 9 calls to different clinics today.

There is no reason people who need pain medication for valid chronic conditions should be treated like drug addicts. Absolutely ridiculous. Nobody should have to live in constant agonizing pain.
