My wife has fibromyalgia and other problems and all she does is getting maintenance medicine so she can live a half decent life Anna Duggar are getting scared because of all that here about what's going on with the DEA and when they cut her medicines or tell her they're going to give her something totally different that doesn't help she cannot function what kind of life is that for anybody and just think of all the people that need medications that this is hurting and if they don't have a loved one to watch over and care for them they become suicidal because I figured nobody cares I love my wife and I care and worry and pray that the right things will be doneREPORT COMMENTS

The real issue, besides slowly taking away more of our rights and freedoms, is that the people who truly end up hurt are those of us who are prescribed controlled substances for a reason.. People just searching for a high will get it. .Why do you think heroin has become so msinstream? If you never experienced chronic pain I'm jealous of you but you can't understand in many way what it is like.. I never believed in anxiety/panic attacks until i experienced them for myself.. The war on drugs does nothing except hurt people needing help and help people desperate to attack our country. .And if you want to spend your life hooked on drug of any kind that's your choice as a "free* American. .Like i saod, the real people who suffer from doctors fearing losing their license and pharmacists thinking they're doctors and meet using to full prescriptions .Time for a new way of governing the people. Time for change. Time for freedom to choose .Maybe one person from each party in office together. Maybe elect a" real" person to office. Someone who knows that being an American is and wants to make not better. To grant the public the right to dream againm.. I am a chronic pain suffer and have been 20+ years. I have chronic back problems from breaking my tailbone when I was 25,I also have fibromyalgia,bones spurs in my neck, severe osteoarithiritis,damaged nerves in my lower back from a tumor removal an operation that I had to have twice,spinal stenois degenertive disk disease bulging disks in all of my lower lumbar region.I have worked almost all my life until I was disabled in 2006 and had to go on SSA I have been going to a rheumatologist for over 15 years and he kept me out of pain all this time.Then out of the blue they drop my insurance and I can no longer afford to see him! I have been taking opana er 20 mg twice a day for 5 years now I can no longer get it and I am in living hell of pain. I have never abused my meds and always pee clean on my track record.I have never in my life felt so sick and confused and I don't know what to do! I can't take asprin or Ibprophen because of my bleeding ulcers.I have asked God to just take my life cause I hurt so bad. We need to ban together and put lawsuits on the CDC for discrimination and for all of our suffering and for all the poor souls that took their life because pain was so unbearable! Please give us our lives back so we can get out of bed everyday and have some relief for the agonizing pain that we have to bear day to day.REPORT COMMENTS

When a cancer patient dies because his oncologist was targeted as over prescribing to his terminal cancer patients, you know it's time for a change. His doctor was no longer able to perform a life saving surgery and while the patient was waiting on approval for his surgery, he died. This is absolutely insane people!!! Doctors are now too afraid to treat pain or anxiety because of the DEA. My own mother was a victim to these ridiculous fears of addiction and she ended up in the hospital over it. My uncle died in excruciating pain he had bone cancer, he was labeled a drug seeker so didn't get adequate pain relief. I could go on and on....THIS NEEDS TO STOP!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I have been in chronic pain for 17 years. Finally I got medication that helps me function. Have been on the same medication for the last couple of years. I wasn't happy with my doctor so I switched to my son's doctor who also treats his chronic pain. Within the first two weeks after switching doctors everything has gone to hell. When I went to get my son's pain pill prescription cvs messed up and said that those peticular medication didn't even exist which made no sense to me. I called the doctors office to tell them what the pharmacist said and they were supposed to get back to me. I talked to the pharmacist again and he realized he was in the wrong and misunderstood the prescription. My sons prescription was for the extended release 15mg oxycontin and the pharmacist thought is was oxycodone or some othere medication. Now my doctors office is saying we were trying to get an early refill and disbarred my son from their medical group, had him stop his pain medication cold turkey even after telling him that he would have to be weaned off, and now the doctor won't even see me! We have been with this medical group for over seven years. Now my husband and I have to hope and pray we can find an attorney to help us and hope and pray we can find a good doctor to treat us. We have never miss used our medication and never broke our pain contract. There was no discussion on what actually happened. I even spoke to the director which got us no where. Patients like us shouldn't have to suffer and be treated like criminals when we have real medical problems. I have fibromyalgia, bad arthritis in my neck, degenerative disk in my neck, my neck doesnt have the right curvature, arthritis in my back, get pins and needles in my feet, and on top of all that I also have chronic fatigue. I am only 36 years old. Had problems before I was diagnosed at 19. My poor son was diagnosed with Rhumatiod arthritis, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, and needs surgery for his wrist. He was diagnosed at 13 years old. He is now 18. He couldn't even attend public school. He has been seen by Stanford University, UC San Francisco, UC Davis, and Shriners hospital. They all confirmed his many diagnosis but wouldn't treat him because of his age. One doctor at UC Davis put him on antisphycotics to supposedly help with his pain and my son ended up in a mental hospital because that medication caused physchosis and hallucinations which the doctor didn't warn us about that side effect. Later we found out that is was actually common for people to have that side effect. Ever since my son has never been fully himself. Our doctors shouldn't be scared to treat us. All we ever hear from doctors is that the FDA keeps putting pressure on them and how they can loose their license to practice medicine. It shouldn't be up to people in DC who are not doctors to tell us how we should be treated. Everyday true chronic pain patients can't get the treatment they need because of the war on drugs. I have suffered from chronic pain for 7 years now. After losing my job and healthcare when the housing market crashed, I had to turn to VA healthcare. I have been treated like an addict, been accused of doctor shopping, had to leave college because of lack of care ( I was an honor student 34/credits from receiving my Bachelor's degree) and now with the choice program, I can see a pain management doctor, but the VA will not fill the prescriptions! We Americans, Humans are Afforded Certain liberties through the Constitution of the United States but we are also allowed certain rights under God & Humanity! The Right to a Quality of Life which The DEA, CDC & Barack Obama have chosen to unilaterally intervene, target & attack the most vulnerable of ppl, chronic pain patients! I say vulnerable because chronic pain affects "EVERY" aspect of a person's life & can drive them to make irrational decisions to calm the intense chronic pain that will NEVER go away! I myself CAN NOT remember how it feels to be pain free, walk straight, love, laugh, have fun, enjoy life, cook, etc & so on..... What about those of you making these Decisions, can you remember how it feels to run, jump, Love, make Love, laugh, be in a great/good moods etc...? The medication we take helps us more than you have ever even known as you have NEVER expressed/talked about what I have mentioned here about how chronic pain affects/helps ppl's lives daily! Please lift the recommendations & discuss before you act so drastically as you have endangered many thousands /millions of ppl! I have RSD, Fibromyalgia, DDD, Osteomyelitis, and need 2 new knew replacements. I was told that I wont be able to get my pain meds because DEA is cracking down on doctors because new law in Massachusetts. Like as if they have a big drug bust going on this is why we all go to our doctors for medical reasons not for drugs this is medication. I don't consider this drugs it is my medication to allow me to function. Well right now I have VNA that come to my home daily for services also I forgot to mention I have a collapsed arch that needs to be rebuilt. I used to be able to wear heels now I cannot wear shoes at all. I am in a Man's pair of slippers due to problems. Where are my rights. I struggle daily. I used to see a doctor that was closed down because the DEA. Now I see the DEA is saying they have nothing to do with this. OH My God what is going on with this world. They have taken the rights away from the doctors and the DEA is threatening Dr.'s licenses. Leave our doctors alone and let hem do the job they went to school for how to care for a patient. Almost forgot to mention doctors are telling people here is Mass. that if you don't have cancer you can get medication what is wrong with our system. It is broke big-time.REPORT COMMENTS
