To those in WA DC who represent us the taxpayers, this is an important petition not only for us, but for the children of welfare recipients who are buying drugs with the money. It not only takes away from the children's food and shelter but puts their lives in jeopardy living with drug addicts. If you don't try to pass a law to do this what does it say about you. -

I work and recieve a check from my employer and they hold the right to drug test me. I work and pay for someone else to have a check...i should have the right to drug test them. I would rather see the whole system of welfare shut down...but one step at a time.REPORT COMMENTS

pass this law! I know a family that tried to get assistace and was so embarrased to sign up because they had always worked hard and tried to make it on their own but due to health reason to apply for help and I went with the mother to help her with it and was shocked when we walked in and seen nothing but Hispanics and drugheads in there sucking it all up! Her family was denied assistance and desperatly needed it but yet any of these....I'm stopping! I'm mad and will say something I may regret!REPORT COMMENTS

This system has long been abused with little Gov't mandating. The folks that really need this program and try everyday to do the best for their families won't mind taking a drug test. The only person(s) that would rally against this would be someone abusing the system or benefiting from someone else that is abusing the system. I vote for automatic termination of benefits upon positive results! No second chances, let's pay for rehab, or any other excuses. Whatever happen to accountability? I'm accountable for passing a drug test to earn a living, why would they not be accountable for passing a drug test to earn these benefits.REPORT COMMENTS
