Please reconsider the decision to not allow this breed - a breed that died along with soldiers in WWII - to live with their famolies on bases.Oct 21st, 2009Someone from Rolesville, NC signed.

This is will unecessarily add suffering and tear away another supportive, loyal family member that most likely is providing hope, comfort, and joy during such a difficult time for military families already hurting from overseas deployments.REPORT COMMENTS

THese dogs are some of the best dogs that have served beside our fighting men, and now they suddenly are dangerous. ??? SO is my 4 pound Chihuahua! ! ! She might eat your sox ! ! Each dog must be evaluated on it's own merits.. pass or fail, but most of these dogs are wonderful family dogs. Since when did the military get so dumb???REPORT COMMENTS

Dobermans are not aggressive by nature, but loyal to their families. Where do they get their information from?REPORT COMMENTS

Banning an entire breed because some individual dogs -- whose owners should be held responsible -- makes no sense and is grossly unfair.REPORT COMMENTS

Please allow Dobermans in military housing. They are highly social and loving animals. My sons were raised, from babies, by our dobies. They do not even make the lists of dog bites in most areas.REPORT COMMENTS

You would think that the military is smarter than that. Agressive dogs are agressive due to the owners lack of the ability to properly train them. It is not the breed.REPORT COMMENTS

this breed of Dogs have been faithful servants to the us military since WW2. It is a disgrace to now see this unjust and unfair characterization of the Doberman breed. Remeber it is the deed that needs control not the breed.REPORT COMMENTS

This wonderful breed has been a part of our lives for over 30 years. Never has even one dog been dangerous. Dobermans saved many a Marine during WWII. Please take the time to learn about a breed before you make false claims about it. See DPCA.org There is a cemetary on the Island of Guam in memory of those Dobermans who gave their lives to protect our soldiers. They served as scouts, messengers, protectors. A movie "War Dogs of the Pacific" recounts their heroic story. To ban these dogs from military homes is unpatriotic, disloyal and cruel.REPORT COMMENTS
